Chaeng was clutching her phone against her ear, breathing heavily. She was stopping her tears from falling but failed when she heard the voice of her girlfriend on the other line.
"Chaeng, where are you? I can't find you anywhere."
"Lisa, I'm sorry. I'm breaking up with you." Chaeng held her sobs.
"What are you saying? Today's our anniversary." But little do Lisa know, it's the day her girlfriend goes to a different country.
"I just don't love you anymore." Just when Lisa was about to say something, she heard something from the other line.
"Phones please. The plain will soon leave."
"Chaeng, where are you? Which airport? I'm coming. Please don't leave me. Please Chaeng. Please Rosie, please. I can't lose you." Chaeyoung heard Lisa's sob and she can't control herself any longer. She allowed herself to break. Crying her heart out.
"I'm sorry, Lisa. I'm really sorry."
"Babe, please don't do this to me, to us. Please, I'm begging you."
"Goodbye." Then Chaeng ended the call, wiping her tears but still crying. She turned off her phone and wishing, hoping, praying for better days.
