The grass always looks greener on the other side
The house looks bigger
The family looks happier
But behind the green, the walls, the smiles
Hides dirt and grime
Worms and bugs crawling through tunnels in the ground, holes in the walls, and the impression of satisfaction
Brown and pale yellow are everywhere
In the flowers that are meant to burst with colour
In the living room that is meant to nurture life
In the words that are meant to carry love
Life meets disappointment meets pain
No one lives up to anyone's expectation
But the illusion of perfection remains
As the grass looks greener than ever
