chapter 2

y/t - your teacher

you walked to your science classroom and opened the door just as the teacher was finishing the lessson. everyone turned to look at you and you felt so awkward, you hated being the center of attention

you looked around to see rory, without hesitation, waving obnoxiously with that same big smile. you smiled slightly and waved back

"y/n, we've been expecting you!" said y/t

you smiled awkwardly, you could feel yourself sweating at the sight of all the eyes on you

"where do i sit?" you said quietly

y/t turned around to find an empty seat "over by rory? i see you two know eachother" said y/t

rory was smiling and nodding, he then motioned you to come over to him. you chuckled lightly and walked over, now realizing everyone in your class knows your friends with this geek.

you placed your backpack on the ground and sat next to rory, it was a two seat desk, and rory was doing an experiment with test tubes. y/t walked to the front of the classroom and resumed to teach the lesson again. rory took one of the test tubes and poured it into a bigger glass.

"what are we doing?" you said, confused

"i don't know" rory said with a chuckle

"then how do you know that's safe to pour that.."

"i don't" he said, confident of his stupidity

"so um, i guess you're not good with teachers huh?" you said jokingly

he looked at you with an eyebrow raised "huh?" he said

you stared at him in shock "nevermind" you said, realizing he was just THAT stupid

before the both of you knew it, science class was over and you and rory grabbed your backpacks and were walking out of the class, when a voice behind you stopped you from leaving

"y/n would you stay for a minute?" asked y/t

you looked at rory and he looked at you "uhh, yeah" you said

"it'll just be a minute" said y/t

as you turned around to go back rory smiled and grabbed your shoulder and said "i'll wait for you" he said worryingly, as if you were in trouble

you nodded and walked back into the classroom, and y/t was looking for some papers in her desk. you stood there with your hands in your pocket.

"here are the notes you missed for this quarters unit" y/t said, handing you a stack of papers

"oh.. thanks." you said, putting them in your backpack

y/t nodded and you turned to leave the classroom. you left, expecting to see rory waiting for you, but he bailed. you looked around for him when suddenly something hit you from behind and you fell to the ground. you opened your eyes and rory was on top of you

"what the?!" you said, trying to push him off

rory looked at a stopwatch he had "shit, 5 seconds late!" he said, sitting up

"rory! get off of me!" you whisper yelled, being barley able to breath because of his weight on you

"whoops" he said chuckling and standing up

you brushed yourself off "what were you doing anyways?" you asked

he put the stopwatch in his pocket "i was trying to beat my high score obviously" he said

"high score for what?" you asked

"for my vampi-"

rory was interrupted by two scruffy haired boys covering his mouth. one of the boys had brown hair almost in his eyes, and he was much shorter than the other boy, the taller boys hair was also brown, but much shorter.

the long haired boy chuckled and looked at you awkwardly "we have to go" he said

the taller boy then added "its a project thingy" he said, then being grabbed by the shorter boy and being pulled

rory looked confused "project? what project" he asked as he was being pulled away from you

"rory shut up!" the shorter boy whispered and the next thing you knew the three boys were out of sight

you shrugged and then immediately remembered you had to go to the office because someone wanted to show you around. you turned around and walked to the office. when you entered the office there was a dark haired girl smiling at you

"this is sarah, she would like to show you around" said the old lady at the front desk, with a crooked smile
