She takes the Eucharist and swallows it whole. She kneels down and touches her hands to the ground. She feels the spirit across her body and the light over her skin. The warmth beats down. The time is nigh.

How could a man create such a beautiful world?
Create all the trees and the mountains and oceans,
Create all the women who love me, and the women I love ?
God must be a woman, I say,
And take her beautiful hand in mine.
