dang!

there is still the girl you honor in your heart every time she comes up in conversation. every time you see her in class. every time you drive by her car and see her adjusting her mirrors.
once I would say, "love, may the winds set you free." but that is not my life anymore. that is not how things operate over here anymore. nowadays, I avoid sticking my hand into my throat to find the deep well of my heart. lately I use my hands to write and make my bed and hold coffee cups.
but friend, I hope you are at peace.
