During Okomfo Anokye's era there came a time where the King and the people were not happy anymore. This was because they were fighting among themselves.
When the Asantes conquered many lands ,they couldn't supervised all the rulers of those lands hence they tend to fight among themselves.
Some people also decided to move away .So the King wanted unity among the people.
Okomfo Anokye told the King to gather all the people including those on all the conquered lands.So they came together and Okomfo Anokye performed the necessary rites. After that he saw the need for the people to have a symbol for this unity and strength. Okomfo Anokye commanded from the skies the Golden stool.
❤The Golden stool was commanded on a Friday therefore it is called ' Kofi' (Friday male born).
"Sika Dwa" ( Golden stool). Thus the Asantes call the Golden stool Sika Dwa Kofi .
❤ The Golden stool is to be seen by a chief once in a lifetime.
❤ The Golden stool is not shown to the public. That is ,it is believed to have the spirit of the kingdom.
