"Good work. Thanks to you the bomb was defused and everyone in San Jose won't have a 15 mile hole in the ground." Hill briefed a team. "Dismissed." She commanded and everyone scattered to there next destination.
"Hill." Astra called catching Agent Hill's attention. "I was wondering if there is anything on my file about my abilities and their origin?"
"Why would you want to know that?" Hill interrupted.
"I'm just curious." Astra answered.
"I'm afraid we can't give you that information." She told Astra.
"Why not?" Astra furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head in confusion.
"There are certain things we should know, and certain things we shouldn't" Hill answered.
"Sure be philosophical. But-"
"Agent Stark," Hill interrupted yet again. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you that information. There's something in the lab that we need you to analyze." She finished and then walked off to her next destination.
Astra huffed before she turned around and walked to the lab. She ignored the piece of machinery went straight to the computer.
What is S.H.I.E.L.D not telling me? She thought.
She feverishly typed away on the computer, hacking her way into her file. It started loading but slowly. and she estimated that it would take 2 minutes at the least. Astra groaned in frustration.
"Agent Stark!" A male agent said at the door.
"Yes?"
"Step away from the computer." He threatened her with a gun and moved to the middle of the room.
"What?! Why?" She demanded to know.
"Do I have to repeat myself?" He threatened again.
Astra took a step back and towards him. "No. You don't." Her physical looks came in the blink of an eye as she created battle staves in both hands. She hit his left arm, making him drop his gun. She attempted to hit him with her other stave but he was prepared at caught her hand.
She kicked him in the groin and while he was weak she pushed him closer to the door but he twisted the arm he still held. Astra head-butt him and got out of his grasp then swiftly kicked him out the door and locked it. Her staves disappeared, but her appearance stayed.
She walked back to the computer which was roughly thirty seconds from finishing. There was a banging from the door as the agent tried to get back inside.
The thirty seconds lasted forever for the curious female, but she got in. She swiped through the mission files trying to find what she was looking for. One thing caught her eyes that was particularly interesting. A report written by a doctor in 1990.
My patient Athena Stark is in a very peculiar situation. It seems that her DNA is not human. While DNA is normally made up of six smaller molecules, Ms. Stark's DNA is made up of 14 smaller molecules. Confirming the foreign being theory. I would like to request for further tests to learn more.
Astra's eyebrow furrowed themselves further as she looked at another file to see that the doctors request was denied and then doctor was fired a few days later. Her heart rate picked up as she looked through more files.
One from when she was 10, when I found that I could create weapons, talking about a new found ability and how more may appear. One where she passed out at 12, after attempting to levitate multiple knives at once. It didn't end well considering the agents that where observing received some terrible injuries and 4 ended up dead.
Astra read through more files. It felt like my heart beat picked up twice its normal rate in the past 15 minutes. Then she found her personal file.
Astra Margaret Stark

She looked over the word 'adoptive' many times. It seamed her reality broke down in that moment. I'm adopted. The words seemed unreal to her. She always believed her real parents where Howard and Maria.
She read the next to spaces. Which read:

"Astra" Someone called at the door, which was now opened and she didn't even realize. Just by the voice she knew that it was Director Fury.
"It's not possible." She could barely say.
"Yes, it is." A new voice came in. Her brother.
"I'm adopted?" She continued to stare at the computer.
"We wanted to tell you." Fury questions her.
"But you didn't!" She yelled as she held back tears. "For 26 year I believed that I was a Stark. Why not tell me?"
"Look at the way your reacting." Fury pointed out.
"How am I supposed to react to the fact that not only am I adopted, but I'm an alien!" She yelled. "When did he know?" She pointed to Tony.
"He knew after he found out that you have abilities. Took the news about it a lot better than you are."
"Maybe because he's normal!" She cried out, but she didn't let any tears fall. She refused to. "I have these abilities that I am still trying to fully understand and my parents aren't my parents."
"Ash, calm down." Tony tried to calm his sister down.
"Don't touch me!" She yelled, then looked at Fury. "I resign from S.H.I.E.L.D." She pulled out her badge from her back pocket and set it on the table. "What ever messed up secrets you have, I don't want to be a part of it anymore."
She stormed out of the room and made her way outside.
"Scooter," Tony grabbed her arm and turned her to look at him. "This doesn't change anything."
"Your wrong." The venom seeped through her teeth. "It changes everything." She jolted her arm out of his grasp and ran to a quintet. Flying away to someplace else.
