"We thank you, Guardians, for putting your lives on the line." The High Priestess Ayesha spoke with the voice of someone of high-class. The place was very gold, the throne was gold the clothing was gold, the people were gold. It was a little nerve racking and too standard. "We could not risk the lives of our own Sovereign citizens. Every citizen is born exactly as designed by  the community. Impeccable, both physically and mentally. We control the DNA of our progeny germinating them in birthing pods."

"I guess I prefer to make people the old fashioned way." Quill opinionated.

"Perhaps someday, you could give me a history lesson, in the archaic ways of our ancestors." Ayesha spoke with a straight face, making Astra cringe slightly and Gamora tensed up. "For academic purposes."

"I would be honored, yes." Peter agreed. "In the name of research. I think that could be pretty..." He caught a look with Gamora and caught himself. "Repulsive. I'm not into that kind of casual."

"Oh please." Gamora interrupted as she took a step forward. "Your people promised something in exchange for our services. Bring it, and we shall gladly be on our way."

The priestess made a simple motion with her finger to bring the prisoner that was dressed in a black cloak ad struggled against the Sovereign citizens that brought her. She was forced on her knees and the hood was ripped off, showing Nebula's metallic head.

Nebula sent a deadly glare at Gamora and Gamora sent one right back. "Family reunion, yay." Quill cheered awkwardly.

"I understand she is your sister." Ayesha stared blankly.

Gamora's eyes never left Nebula. "She is worth no more to me than the bounty due for her on Xandar." She spoke mainly to Nebula as she picked her off the ground.

"Our soldiers apprehended her attempting to steal the batteries." The gold woman spoke, slipping out of the crown as she stood. "Do with her as you please."

Gamora shoved Nebula in front of her to walk out, the third, irrelevant part of the family followed behind. "We thank you, High Priestess Ayesha." Quill bowed and turned to leave.

"What is your heritage, Mr. Quill?" The priestess' voice stopped them from leaving.

"My mother is from Earth." He answered simple, being a bit touching on the subject.

"And your father?" It sounded as if she was trying to intimidate Peter when she spoke.

"He ain't from Missouri. That's all I know."

"I see it within you. An unorthodox genealogy." It was like she was looking at a disappointing student that was worthless. Only Peter wasn't worthless, rather just, special. "A hybrid that seems particularly... reckless." Her gold eyes then traveled to the cosmicite girl. "And you are very..." She thought to the word and she snakily look down at the brunette. "Distinguishing. Cataclysmic."

Astra stared at her with a murderous look, and if Rocket hadn't said something rude she would have. "You know, they told me you people were conceited douchbags, but that isn't true at all." He then attempted to wink, again, using his left eye instead of his right. There were shocked gasps from the crowd and one of the guards prepared his gun. "Oh shit, I'm using my wrong eye again aren't I?" Before any more problems could occur, the Guardians turned around to leave, Drax lifting Rocket off the ground to get him to turn around and leave before he could say anything worse. "I'm sorry. That was meant to be behind your back."

"And you were. worried I was going to say something rude." Astra mumbled to Gamora as they stepped into the sunlight.

"All right, lets get baldy to Xandar and collect that bounty." Rocket announced enthusiastically as the ship began to take off. The song Lake Shore Drive played as Astra bobbed her head to the beat.

When stepping out of her room, she smirked when seeing Gamora and Peter's lover eyes while the greenie cuffed Nebula. The brunette turned to sit at the table, pulling up the news for any new bounties. She didn't pay attention to Peter and Drax's conversation, until she heard her own name. "If you guys are talking bad about me, you may just find a cricket in you food." She threatened in monotone, keeping her grey eyes on the hologram in front of her.

"Astra, would you consider taking Quill as a lover in the course of carnal-" Drax's voice boomed at her.

"Oh my, God!" Peter cut him off, immediately being embarrassed while Astra snorted in an attempt to contain her laughter. "What?" He wondered frustratedly, his hands on his hips.

The brunette shook her head 'no' while her lips where in a thin line while a smile threatened to escape. "Just," She started and snickered. "Imagining me and you, together, is kind of offensive." Her expression then turned to shock in a matter of a second. "Wait, Drax, I'm in a committed, very long-distance relationship. What do you take me for?"

Drax's face was neutral when he shrugged his shoulders at the two disgusted people. "It was just a suggestion."

"No." She muttered as she shook her head and then went back to look for bounties.
