-Scars that last forever

You wonder why I don't smile? It's because I know that if I do, someone will find a way to carve a frown into my face, and it's happened so many times that if it happens again, the scars won't heal. They just cut deeper and deeper into my soul every time to the point they are so close to cutting through the other side. And once it has happened, no one gives me any first aid to help me up or get back on my feet, no. I'm just left, on the ground, bleeding my heart out while everyone else walks by, some trampling over me like a broken shard of plastic, too weak to fight back.
