A Queen's Duty

Something always bugs Samantha and that something now is what she is doing.

She is doing nothing.

"I'm bored!" Samantha whined as Phyrra handed her down a plate of cookies and warm chocolate milk. Grýla had called them off since she had business to attend to in the South Pole.

Phyrra gave her a sympathetic look before Samantha stretched her limbs and walked out of the library.

Phyrra followed obediently beside her.

"What are you going to my lady?"

Samantha headed down a familiar pathway and heard Phyrra gasp in fear or shock before she came across the room where his snow globe collection is.

"Krampus?"

Samantha hesitantly knocked and waited patiently before she heard someone on the other side of the door  and saw a familiar retarded angel.

Samantha grimaced when Perchta gave her a sadistic grin and bowed before moving on and disappeared.

Samantha blinked before she suddenly felt coldness sweep over her like a wave and felt his clawed hand run down her face.

"Wem verdanke ich dir meine Anwesenheit, meine Königin?"

Samantha shivered before gathering up her bearings and looking at him straight in the eye.

"Krampus...what exactly are my duties here? As a queen?"

It seemed the question caught him off guard because an emotion that was similar to shock flashes in his eyes before they disappeared as quick as a flash.

"Warum willst du es wissen?"

Samantha bit her lip at that question. Krampus eyed her lips and felt something stir within him...something primal.

"I don't like doing nothing, I like doing something"

Samantha finally spoke after a minute of silence.

Krampus looked at her for a moment before gesturing her to follow him. Samantha followed him as they went in deeper into his workshop and it was then that Samatha noticed there were rows of very much horror looking dolls and toys inside.

Samantha gulped.

I am somehow feeling regretful of asking right now.

Der Klown suddenly appeared in front of Krampus and he gave a small cackle when he saw Samantha.

Samantha gave him a small glare that resembled like a glaring puppy. Krampus gave Der Klown a subtle nod before the crazy retarded jack in a box grabbed Samantha by the arm and dragged her to a room.

"Where are we going?"

Samantha asked unsurely, she knew how she acted around Der Klown the first night they met during her...

Yeah that was not the introduction she wanted.

Der Klown opened the door to the room and saw rows of empty snow globes, looking brand new. Samantha looked at Der Klown for an explanation.

The said clown pointed to the label on the door.

New Arrivals.

Samantha didn't know why but there was something off about that sign and the way it was proudly hanged on the wall.

"Okay...? What will I do?"

Before Samantha could even turn to Der Klown, he already left when someone made an ear piercing scream of a call.

Samantha was left to her own devices and the said girl sighed in irritation. She eyed the empty snow globes before grabbing the nearest snow globe to her right and began inspecting it. She nearly dropped the globe once inside the glass began to form the shape of a house.

Samantha blinked back her shock and stared into a family in a dinning table glaring at one another and she could literally feel the Christmas mood dropping at a rapid pace. Samantha found herself gripping the base of the snow globe tight before she saw the father say something to the eldest daughter that made her look so distraught.

What happened next, shook Samantha.

The girl grabbed a nearby candle and tried to burn her father's face. The mother tried to intervene but the father had the girl by the hair and immediately dragged her upstairs but not before grabbing a broom stick.

Samantha didn't want to know what will happen to the girl because she can already picture it in her mind. A cold sensation washed over her as clawed hands took the ball from her shaking hands. Krampus breathed deeply as Samantha looked up to see his piercing red eyes.

"What was that?"

Samantha asked hesitantly. Krampus merely held the snow globe before placing it to a small section where Samantha saw labels marked "Punish" and "Naughty".

"Why two labels when all of these are.."

"Einige Ungezogene mussten bestraft werden, während andere nur leichte Ängste von mir und den Elfen hatten"

Samantha nodded before Krampus patted her lightly on the head before walking out of the room silent just as he went in.

Samantha sighed before turning her attention back to the atill empty snow globes.

Time to do my queenly duties.

Samantha wondered why this was the only thing she did throughout the day. Sure, Krampus visited her and gave approving looks but he never showed her any other duty aside from this.

Though it did made her feel better and less bored than before.

Samantha walked along the dirt path to her room when she saw the Shadow of Krampus just a few feet away from her.

She hastily went up to him and looked him at the eyes "Why am is that the only duty I have? What of the other duties I am going to have as a Queen" Though at the back of her mind, Samantha knew she was still uncertain if she wanted to be his queen much less marry him!

Krampus let out a soft pur that was more like a deep throated growl before pulling her towards him. Samantha felt his fur against her skin and she cpuldn't help but shiver when the coldness he was radiating swept over her and the warmth his fur was producing made her sigh.

"You still haven't answered my question"

A clawed hand made her look at him and what he said next made her sleep a little late than before.

"Um neben mir zu bleiben"
