Samantha woke up to a new morning and she honestly felt refreshed for the past few days. She was slowly getting used to the way she was living and getting used to the elves and their rambunctious attitudes.

Phyrra couldn't help but smile for her mistress once she saw the smile that had made it's way to Samantha's face.

"Phyrra, I'm going out for awhile"

That sentence made Phyrra stop in hee tracks and made a series of uncomfortable noises at the back of her throat.

"Aber Herrin, was ist, wenn du verletzt wirst?"

Samantha took that as a warning and waved her off "No need to be worried Phyrra. You will accompany me outside -" A strong coldness washed over the two and the shadow of Krampus towered over Samantha.

"Along with him of course"

Samantha added a little bit sarcastically. Krampus let out a growl of warning before swiftly turning around and walked out of the room.

Samantha grinned at Phyrra before they headed off to the entrance of the lair to see the outside world.

Samantha had to let her eyes adjust for a moment, it had been so long since she last saw the outside world and living underground with retarded toys and mischievous elves made her adapt to their living habit.

Krampus shadowed over her as she and Phyrra quietly walked out and began walking to an unknown location.

Samantha squealed with glee as she skated around the frozen lake Krampus had shown not 2 hours ago. Phyrra was by the shore line of the lake while Krampus disappeared somewhere during her skating hours.

The cold winds blew against her, making the hairs on her skin stand up even if they were covered by a thick layer of wool.

"Phyrra come on, the place is fine and the lake's frozen as concrete"

Samantha called out but the female elf was still skeptical of the lake. Samantha skated around like a little girl in a skating rink.

Totally oblivious to the creature separating her from just a thin sheet of ice.

Phyrra had dozed off some time before Samantha was beginning to feel the cold and made her way to Phyrra's sleeping figure. She was suddenly envious at how unperturbed the elves were in the cold.

Just then, Samantha felt movement from underneath the ice and curiously began to look down and try to find the thing that went underneath.

Only to feel herself getting flung away when the creature burst out of the thin ice. Phyrra jumped up to the sound of her mistress' cry and saw her one matster's ride.

Samantha skidded on the ice as the creature roared and charged at her. Phyrra let out a warning screech before quickly creating a rope from her tool making kit she brought with her and lasso the creature, stopping it inches away from biting Samantha's head off.

An all too familiar chill caressed Samantha and she looked up to see Krampus looking down at her with an unreadable expression.

The creature let out a small whimper as Krampus met its gaze and Samantha was stunned to see it suddenly start to act like a puppy.

Seriously?! Not just seconds ago it was trying to behead me!

A distrustful look crossed her face when Krampus gestured her to climb on to the creature's back. She shook her head in denial and she was thankful that she wasn't the only one who thought it wasn't a good idea.

Krampus let out a growl at the both of us and Samantha hastily went over to the creature for fear that if she might anger Krampus, she might as well end up gift wrapped in the naughtiest family.

Climbing up, the creature made sure let out displeasing whines and Samantha was mentally patting herself from not losing her cool.

A large red coat was suddenly draped over her as Krampus clambered up and settled behind her. She was stunned to feel warmth within the coat and the smell of Krampus on it made her want to curl into a ball under the coat.

The creature stretched and Samantha instinctively grabbed onto the creature tight as they suddenly shot off the sky and into the misty morning.

Samantha opened her mouth in a silent scream as the wind hit her in the face and she was suddenly reminded of the night she had her first sleigh ride.

Wind! We meet again!

An eerie guttural sound made her slowly turn her head around to face him and was stunned to see his mouth curled up in a twisted smile as he looked down on her, fangs protruding from his lips.

Samantha found it strangely endearing and suddenly slapped herself at the notion.

They soared through the clouds and over cities she didn't know of and she heard the creature she was riding growl out in pleasure at finally flying again.

Clearly he hadn't been flown for a long time.

So it was not very hard to imagine the whine that was on it's throat by the time they got home. Samantha patted the creature in thanks before stiffly walking back to the nice, warm and cozy underground home of Krampus.

Phyrra nearly screamed (if elves can scream, they only screech) when she saw the nearly frostbite look on her mistress' face.

Samantha's face went dreamy when Phyrra suggested the other hand elves to prepare her for a bath.

When Phyrra went to Krampus, she noticed how relaxed he had become instead of the usual tenseness he carries.
