Cavities

  Haven't been back since I was at least 4. Everything's the same as I remembered it. The sky that barely gave out sunlight. The air fresh, but chill. Nothing like Texas you could say. My parents got a divorce when I was 3. Living with my dad ever since. He's currently going through wedding plans with his new finance Victoria. Ew. Just the thought of her made me wanna jump off a bridge. Anyways I see my mom four different times each year, but this time I'm moving in for good well at least till I go to college.

"Well here we are, home sweet home." Mom said parking the car.

"Nothing seems different about it." I said getting out of the car and up to the front door.

"Well you know me, I keep it simple." Mom said throwing me the keys.

"SURPRISE." I heard people scream.

"Oh wow, a surprise party." I laughed.

"Wanted a good start for your stay." Mom said.

"Thanks Mom." I said hugging her.

"Let me show you back to your room." She said.

I followed her upstairs.

"It's still pink." I said.

"Yeah didn't want to do anything with it until you came back." She said.

"Well thanks ma." I said.

"Anyways you start school tomorrow, so I recommend you get some sleep soon." She said.

"Then these babies off the next day." I said pointing to my braces.

"That's right baby." Mom said.

" Jacqueline, baby get up." Mom yelled.

"I'm up ma." I said throwing the covers off of me.

I got outta bed and immediately started to change clothes. I through on a pair of black jeans with holes bin them. A white tee with an alien on it and a tye dye hoodie. I undid my braids and styled my hair.

"Ma how does this look?" I asked.

"Perfect." She said smiling.

I grabbed my phone and my backpack and went downstairs. I put on my white low converse.

     "Baby are you ready?" She asked.

"Yes for once." I said.

    "Alright let's go." She said pushing me out of the door into the car.

   We arrived at the school and of course it already had started.

       We were met by one of many the principles.

  "Hello my name is Mr. Evelyn." He said shaking both of our hands.

       "Bye ma." I said hugging her.

"Bye Jacqueline, try and have a good day baby." She said leaving.

     He showed me to all my classes then took me to my first class and knocked on the door.

   "Mrs. Jest we have a new student." He said.

    "Well hello hun, I'm Mrs. Jest." She said shaking my hand.

  " I'm Jacqueline, but everyone calls me Jackie." I said shaking her hand.

  Mr.Evelyn left us and we both made our way into the class room.

     "Class today we have a new student, Jackie, Jackie you can take a seat next to Thomas. Thomas raise your hand please." She said smiling.

    I saw Thomas and I saw the empty desk next to Thomas.

    "Jackie where are you moving here from?" She asked.

"San Antonio, Texas." I said.

     "What did your family move up here?" She asked.

"Well my dad got engaged to this slut soo whatever Vicky wants, Vicky gets and here I am." I said

        "Oh alrighty then." Mrs. Jet said.

"Hey baby." Mom said.

"Hey Ma." I said getting into the car.

"Jackie wait." I heard someone.

I turned my head around and say Thomas running over.

"Here your fucked without this." He said handing me my textbook.

"Well thanks." I said.

"Yeah of course, I'll see you tomorrow right?" He said.

"Nah, but you'll see me for Monday for sure." I said.

"How come?" He asked.

"You'll see Monday." I said winking.

"Jacqueline." Said a nurse.

"Good Luck Baby, I'll see you afterwards." Mom said.

"So you ready do get them off?" The nurse asked.

"Oh yes." I laughed.

In came the most finest dude I have ever saw in my entire life. Like fuck me please? Be my baby daddy?

   "Hello you must be Jacqueline, I'm Dr. Jest." He said shaking my hand.

"Are you somehow related to a teacher at the high school?" I asked.

"Mrs. Jest?, yeah that's my sister." He said laughing.

"Alright." I said.

"Now lay back and open your mouth Hun." He said.

Soon enough it was over.

"So I'll see you Monday for a clean up." He said.

"For sure." I said.
