At midnight...

"James? Are you here?" I called, out of breath.

"Yeah."

"You will not believe what my mother just told me."

"What did she tell you?" He asked, curious.

"She's arranged for me to be married in a few months. And I absolutely hate the guy she set me up with!" I shouted, kicking the fountain for emphasis.

"Well, that's still enough time for us to get to know each other." He responded cheerfully.

"Yeah." I said, calming down.

The rest of the night was spent telling crazy stories, talking about books, and places we wanted to go. Then, the clock chimed. It was 4 am already!

"The clock spoiled our fun again, huh?"

James laughed.

"Well, see you tomorrow night!" I said, and I walked from the courtyard, a grin still on my face.

Two Months Later...

James and I were meeting up again in the garden. When I got there, I noticed that he looked almost shy.

"Leah?"

'Yeah?"

"I just wanted to tell you, that I-I think I l-love you. If you don't feel the same, that's fine" He rambled.

Smiling, I put a finger on his lips, and said,

"James, I love you too."

Our lips met in a kiss.

The next month...

"Leah, will you marry me?" James asked.
