Silly Boy- A Poem

37 5 5

After everything

All the pleading

All the hugs

All the promises

How did things go wrong so quick?

One second I was your world

The next you try and wipe me away

As if I were a stain

Was it something I said?

Something I did?

You ignore me for days

My brain is numb

You blindsided me

Told me to forget

Forgetting these last months

would be a dream,

PARADISE

How dare you?

You put me through hell

Trying to make me choose

And for what?

THIS?

Mind numbing pain?

That's all I feel

I shed no tears for you

I've cried enough...

Enough to fill a river

You'll want me back

I guarantee it

But I'll have moved on

Beyond this on-again-off-again

That's what you wanted

RIGHT?

Silly boy

You didn't know

How you really felt

or

What you really wanted

You,
SILLY BOY
