"Where is he?" Chae whispered as he held onto the cross necklace around her neck.
She stared out the window, just waiting for the gates to open, signalling the arrival of her husband.
"You're never home this late, Jungkook. Did you get into an accident? Did you fall asleep on your desk again?"
Of course, there was no one to answer her. God didn't exist. The Devil didn't exist. The cross was only a comfort object for her to hold when her husband wouldn't hold her.
