Frozen

As if lost in time,
I wandered about.
In frozen woods,
Without a doubt.

A once brown road,
Covered in snow.
A cold, deep feeling,
One that I know.

Crispy leaves that,
Sang in autumn.
Lay dull and lifeless,
In the winter hum.

The river that once,
Was flowing with life.
Seemed indifferent as I,
Begged it to be alive.

Time will unfreeze,
With the coming of spring.
And I have seen nature,
When it was unmoving.
