Alive Forever

My memories of a long time ago,
Behold a face that is you.
But now it is fading away,
And that is what is true.

Fading as you are,
Not anymore smiling or laughing.
As if your existence,
Was only a brief crack of lightning.

Your sudden absence hurt me,
It had me confined.
Within cages of the years,
The sorrow could not be defined.

The thoughts of the years,
When you annoyed me like hell.
Were also the times,
When I wished you were well.

During my darkest hour,
You shown like a moon.
Now, even the sunlight,
Does not fit well in the noon.

The shadows of the past,
Whisper silently in my ear.
That I no longer visit your grave,
As I did every year.

Now, standing in front of your epitaph, I think,
Flowers colorful as ever,
Will grow from your body.
And you are in them, alive forever.
