9| Detention

The corner meet ups became a habit for the next two weeks. And Jaemin and Renjun obviously noticed it. They have classes with Donghyuck so they'll notice if he ever ask for a washroom break and will be back after twenty minutes.

Mark and Donghyuck seemed to be very careful until one after noon when the janitor who's cleaning the closet saw Donghyuck running to the back of the school. That part of the school actually is restricted for students during class hours so the janitor has no excuse to not tell the office that Donghyuck attempted to go that way and apparently skipped his class.

"What are you going to do at the back of the school?" The principal asked Donghyuck as soon as he is seated in front of the table.

"I have the right to remain silent." Donghyuck said.

"We're not in the court, tell us the truth. If not, we have no choice but to give you a one week detention." The principal tapped her fingers patiently on the table.

"U-uh..." Donghyuck sure contemplated. He doesn't know what to answer.

"No need to ask him, we found someone who's also into this." Mr. Park, the school's vice principal entered the office with a student behind him. "Unfortunately, while Donghyuck is being escorted to the office the janitor went out the back door to do his job and found his brother. Mark?" All of them looked at Mark.

Donghyuck tensed at the mention of Mark's name. "What are you two up to?"

Mark's lips formed a thin line, preventing himself from speaking. "I see both of you are not saying anything, I have no choice but to call your parents."

Minutes later, they all sat inside the office waiting for Donghyuck's parents to come.

Mark and Donghyuck keeps on exchanging glances. Mark then managed to asked the younger in a whisper. "Are they really coming?"

Donghyuck looked at him and shook his head. "No." He whispered back.

Mark gave him a confused look. "Why?"

"Just wait and see." Donghyuck said with a smirk.

The principal noticed them and asked. "Are you two planning to escape?"

"No." Both of them said in chorus.

Suddenly the door burst open. All of them expecting the parents except from Donghyuck, turned to the door while the younger just smile.

"Good day Mr. And Mrs. Lee— uh.."

"Dahyun! I told you to wait for me!" A male voice was coming behind the girl.

"Hello, Miss Principal. It's Miss Lee."

The principal's jaw slightly dropped but immediately recovered. "M-miss Lee... where are your parents?"

"They are busy. Sorry if you're expecting them but I'm here with my youngest uncle Taeil, he's the one who received the call at home. So what's the matter?" Dahyun sat in front of the speechless principal.

The principal and vice principal looked at the girl then at Taeil and back at Dahyun. The principal cleared her throat. "Alright so, I just want you to know that your brothers will be facing a week detention since they broke a school rule. I don't want to make this issue big so I'm telling the consequences now. I hope we're all okay with that."

Dahyun nodded. Taeil just kept silent. "Okay then, I guess I can go now. I still have home works to do. Thank you." Dahyun said and bowed. The principal and vice principal also bowed.
