19| Leaving

"Pack your things, you're going back to Canada."

"Why?" Was all Mark could say. He doesn't know if this has something to do with the issue they're having now in school.

"Your grandmother's sick. She wants to see you for the last time." His dad gave him a sad pleading look. "Be with her for at least a week."

Donghyuck stayed silent and looked at Mark. The younger doesn't know if he should be relieved that it was not because of the rumor ongoing in their school or be sad for Mark because of his grandmother's situation.

"Can i just atleast think about it? Everything's a rush." Mark looked at his father. "And besides I can't just leave everything behind all of a sudden."

"It's just a week Mark." His father said, hoping Mark would say yes.

"You know what I mean dad, it's Canada, too far away from here."

His dad sighed. "Fine, but please consider your grandma's situation."

Mark smiled at him. "I will."

"Hyung... do you really have to go?" Donghyuck asked, pouting. "I mean, I understand that she's your grandmother but—"

Mark kissed him. Not too long, so he can answer. "I will be back before you know it."

"You're gonna leave me alone in school in the middle of a baseless rumor?!"

"Hyuck." Mark pulled the younger to sit on his lap. He cupped his cheeks and smiled. "I will never leave without doing something about it."

Donghyuck slumped on Mark and wrapped his arms around the older. "What will you do?"

"Secret."

"Okay then." Donghyuck nuzzled his nose against Mark's neck before looking up to the older. "Kiss me."

Mark teasingly smiled at him. He leaned on to Donghyuck. The younger thought that Mark will kiss him but instead the older buried his face on Donghyuck's neck and showered him small kisses. "You smell like a baby. My baby."

"I will miss you Hyung." The younger pouted again.

"I will miss you too." Mark said. "But don't worry, I'll make sure to FaceTime you everyday."

"Don't forget about me and look for girls." Mark chuckled unbelievably and hugged the younger tightly.

"Does this kind of face looks like I'm interested in girls?"

"Don't look at other boys then."

"Hyuck stop worrying. I will only look at you." The older reached for the younger's chin and capture his lips into a sweet, full of love kiss. "My sunshine."

Donghyuck rested his head on Mark's chest and covered his face with his hands. "Stop, I'm blushing."

Mark chuckled. "What? You're so cute ugh."

He just hugged the younger, not wanting to let go, until they both fell asleep in such an uncomfortable position.

The next day at school, the atmosphere seemed to have changed. No one gave him the looks they've been giving him yesterday. He's totally confused.

"Hi donghyuck!"

"Good morning donghyuck!"

"Have a nice day ahead donghyuck!"
