"You gave up on me?"

"I didn't want to, but I have no choice but to save you from pain."

"I was fighting, I know i was fighting for all of you, especially for you. I thought you're doing the same."

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry if I was the one who told everyone to have faith in you because you'll wake up, but was also the one who almost gave you up."

"Me too, I'm sorry for making you suffer. Because of me, you had to make the most difficult decision."

"Don't worry about it anymore. What matters right now is that, you're all right here with me."

"I love you Hyung."

"I love you too, Hyuck."

"What do you want for breakfast son?" Donghyuck's mother asked, she is holding a glass of milk for Donghyuck when she entered the room.

"Anything you cook mom, I'm okay with it. But I hope you could make many because I still feel  like I haven't eaten for decades." His mother chuckled. Donghyuck is still catching up with his food consumption even if a month had already passed after he got discharged.

"Of course." Mrs. Lee kissed her forehead. "Donghyuck." She said seriously.

"Hmm?"

"I know we didn't end well before what happened to you about the whole relationship issue with you and Mark." She sighed. "But I want you to know that, whatever decision you make, as long as it makes you happy, I'm more than okay with it.

"Because I feel like what happened to you was my fault. If I agreed to your relationship at first, you would not meet up with Mark secretly and that wouldn't ha—" She didn't finish her sentence when Donghyuck suddenly snuggled to her.

"It's no one's fault mom. I blame no one for what happened to me. I know there's a reason why it happened. And I think the reason is for us to realize such things."

"Thank you Donghyuck for understanding us." She gently rubbed Donghyuck's arm, while tears are pooling in her eyes. She sniffed them in to prevent herself from sobbing. "Now! I don't want drama early in the morning. I better prepare breakfast and you should prepare too."

Donghyuck gave her mother a confused look. He didn't remember any appointment to the hospital for today. Yes, he's still getting regular check-ups to make sure that his recovering well. "Why?"

"Mark, his father and sisters will join us for lunch later."

Donghyuck gasped. "They are?!"

Mrs. Lee laughed at him. "Yes, so you better get yourself together. Okay? I'll be downstairs."

Donghyuck hummed as an answer. He is surprised. Mark didn't tell him anything about visiting with his family.

This past month, while Donghyuck is recovering, Mark fixed everything about his custody. Mr. Lee refused to agree at first because it's hard to let go of Mark when you raised him and loved him as if he's your own child. But he eventually realized that maybe now is the time for Mark to be with his biological family. Donghyuck promised his stepdad, that he will be a better son and fill in the space that Mark left (though he doesn't have to because he is already a good son to him.)
