Ink's P.O.V.
I looked at Error with a face of plead. A shuffle was heard from Nightmare.
"What?" Nightmare exclaimed. "That's outrageous of you to just switch sides because of a mere argument!"
"Shut up Nightmare," Error snickered. "You're just being salty because I won the bet!"
I was extremely confused. What were they talking about? "What do you mean by 'winning the bet'?" I asked them.
"Something, none of your business," Nightmare grumbled. "Anyways, how do I know that I could trust you?"
"I don't know, I just really need a place to stay at!" I struggled with my words. What was I seriously thinking, they'd let me in their team? What chance would I ever get?
"Fine, just for a little, alright, shortstack?" Nightmare groaned. "Just because. I'm nice. Maybe."
"Yeah, thanks I guess," I mumbled. What in the world was I thinking, joining an enemy's team? "Thanks. Ish. But why am I the one with nicknames?!"
"Because it's true. You're short, the shortest in the team," Error smirked. "You'll always be the shortest of the team."
"Shush it blackberry," I mumbled under my breath, blushing. Why did I have to be so short?
"Wow, you're blushing?" Nightmare asked, poking me with a tentacle. "Amazing, I thought you had no feelings or crap like that."
"Well, I've been able to feel stuff recently," I explained cautiously. "Just some stuff, I don't know why."
Error rolled his eyes as Nightmare crossed his arms. "Yeah, whatever, stop mumbling stupid. Let's go."
They beckoned me to follow them. I hesitantly did and followed them through a glitchy portal, kind of like mine but darker and... Error style. I landed face-first onto a cold, hard ground as Nightmare and Error plotted down gracefully.
Were they seriously that used to this?
I stood up and rubbed my bruised poor skull and looked around my surroundings. I was inside of a pretty normal house. You know, those ones with the marble tables, chandeliers?
Yeah, like that, but in a darker and maybe a bit gloomier way. It was actually really cool.
"So, welcome to our household, would you like a glass of water?" Error said sarcastically. I laughed.
"Yeah no. So, what now?" I asked.
Insert awkward silence here.
"Umm, what are you capable of?" Nightmare asked. "Oh whatever. You're sleeping in the smallest room we have."
He guided me to this cramped but comfy-looking room. "Oh, nice. Can I have a few moments in here?"
"Whatever you want, painter," Nightmare said mockingly.
I rolled my eyes and stepped inside the room. It was a little chilly, sending me shivers. "Oh stars, I'll need to get my stuff and stop by, I guess."
I teleported myself via portal and landed swiftly. I was more used to going through my own portals than by someone else's.
"Hey, look who's back! Here to say 'ooh I'm sorry!' and crawl back to our team?" Dream taunted. I looked at him strangely.
"What's your problem?" I asked, confused by Dream's annoying behavior. Whatever happened to the Dream I had first met?
"Never mind that. What are you doing here?" Dream said sharply.
"My art supplies," I said, pointing at my pile of craft stuff in the corner. "I just need them back, it'll only take a second."
"Fine. You have one freaking minute to finish, so you better start now," Dream said.
I went over to the pile of my precious art supplies and summoned a portal to my new room, letting everything pour inside the cramped space. I looked at Dream's shocked eyes one more time and jumped inside and closed the portal.
I luckily landed on the bed softly. I sighed in relief and laid there, once again letting myself get lost in thought. I was interrupted by a knock on the door one second later.
"Come in!" I yelled loudly.
"Oh, just checking," a glitched voice responded. The door creaked open. "We heard a loud thump coming from your room and the imbeciles got me to check whatever the Hell happened."
It was the one and only... Error. "Nothing, just got my art supplies back." I gestured to the messy pile beside my new bed.
"So what else do you want?" I asked him, narrowing my eyes. "What do you guys want?"
"Ah, you saw right through me. Nightmare wants to see you," he informed me and walked away, leaving the door open.
I muttered a quick 'rude' and stood up, stretching before I went to see where the Hell Nightmare was.
"He didn't even say where he was," I growled under my breath.
I walked downstairs, making sure not to fall down like the clumsy skeleton I was. Nightmare was at the bottom, his arms crossed sternly.
"Oh, finally." he grumbled. "Took you long enough."
"Shut up," I hissed. "What do you want?"
"Alright dude. I need you to tell me everything; what happened, where are Dream and the other idiots, and the code."
"I hope you know, I still don't trust you. You could lash out at any moment and kill me right on the spot, and I'm very well aware of that," I said, staring at him blankly.
"Fine, fine. Truce?" he held out a hand.
"I don't trust your other little cronies," I said challengingly, making sure that my voice rung out among the entire house.
Right after, they all gathered around me. Killer, Dust, Horror, Cross and Error.
"What did you call us?" Killer snarled. Nightmare slapped him roughly in the face with a tentacle. Black goop was left on his cheek as he shrieked in pain.
"Shut up. Anyways, truce with them all."
"Truces are as easily broken as promises," I growled.
"Fine! Swear on their lives, they will not break this oath. Is that better?" Nightmare said, his tentacles blindly whipping out angrily.
"Yes." I grinned widely.
They all held out their hands with this 'kill me now' expression as I shook their hands.
"Do you swear on your life you'll stay on our team forever?" Error said suspiciously.
I hesitated. Is this what I really wanted, away from my cheerful friends? Or would they take me back, after they realized how selfish they were being?
What do I choose if it's my choice?
