The next day
Roni's POV.
It 10 am and I was already getting ready to meet up with my old best friend, Angelique.
Angie and I have been friends since the second grade till high school. We had to part ways though since I had to go to LA. Nessa, Angie, Kian and I were like a squad back then...it has always been Kian and Nessa, then me and Angie. We would tell each other everything. But i don't know what happened....we just....stopped texting and I don't know why. We ended in good terms too though. I'm worried/excited because...I mean come on, she was my best friend and I haven't seen her in YEARS. I'm afraid she's changed...
I was looking at the mirror, looking at myself in the outfit I was wearing trying to see if it is okay.
"Roni?" Nessa asked knocking on the door
"Come in" I said as she goes in.
"What the hell are you doing?" Nessa asked
"Getting ready" I said
"To what?" Nessa asked
"To go meet and talk to Angie for the first time in 6 years" I said
"Roni. It's 10 am. We have 3 hours..." Nessa said
"WHAT?! I THOUGHT IT WAS 12 NN ALREADY!" I said.
"Listen I know you're nervous to see Angie and all but don't worry....it's gonna be fine" Nessa said
"I know it will be but....I don't know....I'm afraid she's changed, I'm afraid she isn't the person I met back then...a lot can happen in 6 years ya know. Heck even a lot changed just because of an accident" I said referring to Aaron.
"Hey why are you so negative?" Nessa asked
"I don't know....I just ugh ..." I said
"I know what happened to Aaron is hard but like...just because Aaron forgot about u doesn't mean Angie will too. This is a totally different case. I mean like with Aaron, he got into a car accident. With Angie.....well...we don't know yet. So...pls just stay positive" Nessa said.
"ugh...yeah I guess you're right....gosh I've been so paranoid about this Aaron thing..and it just UGH" I said
"Oh are u visiting him today?" Nessa asked
"Probably. Yes. No. I don't know. Maybe. I don't want to see him...." I said
"But u have to...you love him" Nessa said
"EXACTLY! I love him! That's why it hurts so much more than it should!" I said.
"Are u really gonna do that best friend..thing...?" Nessa asked
"Yeah...I don't have any other choice" I said
"Yes u do. You always have a choice Roni" Nessa said
"Not all the time. Fine what do u want me to do huh?" Roni asked
"Idk...don't do it???" Nessa said
"No. If I tell him the truth he won't believe me because he's in love with Sarah...frickin Sarah" I said.
"Roni there has to be another way" Nessa said
"Well there is no other way Nessa! As much as I hate lying to him, as much as I want him to love me back, he can't because he's in love with someone else! Someone who cheated on him, someone who he first loved and broke his heart, someone who hurt him. I'm not letting that happen to him again Nessa. He doesn't deserve to get hurt" I said.
"Know what Roni? You can do whatever you want. It's your life, your choices, even if I disagree with you....it's still your life and you decide whatever you want to do with it. I just wanted to let u know that whatever happens....I'm here for u, to support you and be right by your side through this whole journey. I'm your sister Roni, I'm your best friend too, you're my other half. And I would do anything to make you happy. Okay?" Nessa asked
