I arrived at Hogwarts for my seventh year, it was a shame Harry and Ron weren't coming. But, I had only came back to complete the exams. The N.E.W.T.S, and if I didn't complete them, I would be doomed.
I walked into the great hall, alone, to have the feast. I sat next to Ginny when I glanced around, breathing in home, missing it. The Slytherin table looked very empty... except for one. Sat alone with his hands holding up his head, was Draco Malfoy staring up at the candles floating from the ceiling. It was almost like he had never bothered to admire Hogwarts.
"What do you think Draco's back?" I asked Ginny.
"He's back?!" Asked Ginny, shocked "surely they wouldn't let a ferret like him back into the school. After what... what he did.."
I nodded in agreement, grimacing at him. He didn't deserve a place back in Hogwarts, he didn't even deserve to set one foot into the grounds.
He noticed me glaring at me, and sighed. He glanced away quickly.
"Deserves it. He caused all this trouble in the first place." I said angrily.
"Here's the first years." Said Ginny, changing the subject.
After the frightened 11 year olds got organised into their houses, we had the feast. It was odd without Harry and Ron, I missed it.
"I miss Harry and Ron." I sighed.
"So do I, they should have came back." Agreed Ginny.
"Turns out Draco does have company after all," I said as Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle joined him, Pansy clinging onto his arm.
"Classic." Said Ginny.
After we went back to our common room I said to Ginny "I might just go out and have a walk, by myself. If that's okay.."
"That's fine! Night!" She said as she walked off tiredly into the girls dormitory.
I ran out and went to the library, the place I'd missed the most. As I walked in, I noticed Malfoy reading in the corner. I ignored this and walked past him to grab my favourite book as I sat down and opened the first page.
He coughed behind me intentionally.
"Malfoy? What do you want?" I sighed.
"Just saying.. I saw you staring." He said smirking.
"Me? Staring at you? No, thank you." I answered.
"Don't lie. Your an awful liar, Granger."
"I wasn't staring at you, it was more of a glare," I snapped.
"Keep telling yourself that." He said, I could tell he was rolling his eyes.
"I might go read this book in my common room , actually." I said as I stood up put of my seat. As I did this I bumped right into Malfoy.
He laughed and called out "call me!" He laughed as I stomped out.
