Do you love me?

If you are shy to say, just write, YES.

You might write NO, but if you do, please cross it out!

Like this,

No

And wait to see if you change your mind. Like this,

No YES.

I couldn’t bear it if you were to write,

YES YES YES

That’s how I feel about war.

I want war to be written like this,

WAR

The children ask me if you sleep with a blanket?

I always say YES.

I tell them that you are warm and that you have jam on your toast every morning.

Do you think it is right to lie to our children about war?

We do not want to learn how to live without you.

Do I love you?

Can you hear me?  I’ll say it again but louder,

YES!

I hope you can hear me where ever you are.
