How I wish you were here
Right next to me now
A cool, blue haze is settling over the room
Where we sat and laughed only yesterday
Without you here
The hallways echo, and the shadows waver
I think I see you in your favorite shirt
But it's only me in the mirror
I'm wearing it for you
The ring that I gave you
Left on the kitchen table
Your favorite song
I'm blasting it on the speakers
Even though it's too fast for my tastes
I'm singing along with you
The you I'm holding hands with in my head
I pester you like always
Now, just not aloud
It's already dark out
Time's passed so quickly just being with you
We'll go to bed
And you'll sleep in my embrace
