He has always been looking over her.
He was in the corner of the hospital room she were born in.
He had a job to do that day, but he was so mesmerized with life.
Mesmerized with her.
He was there when her parents took her home for the first time.
He was there when she smiled and talked for the first time.
He was there when she took her first steps.
He was there for her first birthday.
And her second.
And her third...
All the way up to now, her eighteenth birthday.
He was always there.
