Clary's pov (3rd person):
Clary hadn't been standing that long as she looked out onto the small pond that surrounded the gazebo. She found it soothing and quiet and she had began to draw up an image in her head of it so she could draw it at home.
"hey clary" was enough the get the red haired girl to turn around and look at Jace shocked to see him instead of her best friend or well ex best friend
"J-jace" she said trying to keep the surprise out of her voice but failed as she stepped away from the railing and a step closer to him
"Hey Clary nice of you to get the email...sorry I should've put that it was from me and not Simon" he said rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly
"No no it's fine just thought I'd see him since...well me and Simon haven't been friends since well junior high" she said looking down
"Ah...well I originally wanted to ask you the other day when we saw each other but, now works... Clary will you go out with me like on a date not actually dating but like to a restaurant or something next Friday?" Jace had asked nervous making Clary smirk a little
"I'd have to check with my mom and what I'm doing then but otherwise I'd be happy to" she said her smirk turning to a smile as she looked up at him
"Alright well since I don't wanna waste your time how about we go for a walk?" Jace asked making Clary laugh a little
"Sure why not" she said before she looped her arm through his and they started walking asking questions back and forth about each other when they were stopped by a deep voice
"What the hell is this?!?"

Sebastian (3rd person):
Sebastian knew Clary had left after a while since he didn't hear the usual laughter of her, Magnus and Isabelle coming from her room which made him question where his little sister could be. Sebastian slipped on his jacket yelled he was heading out and would be home for dinner even though no one was home considering Luke was at the bookstore and his mom went to the grocery store to get things for dinner.
Sebastian had been walking for a while now in the park not sure what to do even though it was a cool, crisp autumn day when something caught his attention. At first he thought it was nothing but a random couple enjoying a nice stroll when he saw the glimpse of fire red hair and dirty blonde hair with a cocky attitude. Now he only knew one person with fire red hair and one boy with that attitude, so after debating he fell into step behind them to confirm his suspicions that it was his little sister and douche bag
"What the hell is this?!?" He asked arms crossed seeing how the two tensed and slowly turned to face him
"H-hey Sebastian w-what up" Clary stammered scared as she seemed to cling onto Jace which only fueled my anger
"Why are you with him?" Sebastian asked crossing his arms which after realizing Clary unlooped her arm and crossed her getting defensive
"Last time I checked I'm a loud to hang out with whoever I please you don't control me" she said which made Sebastian mad and Jace uncomfortable
"I'll see you tomorrow Clare...I think you can handle this" Jace said glancing at Sebastian whose fists were clenched and looked like he was gonna knock some sense into Jace
"Stay away from Clary you got that" Sebastian said which made Jace's teeth grind together
"You don't tell me what to do" Jace said before turning to go, winking at Clary which Sebastian couldn't see as Jace walked off
"God why do you do this you ruin everything, I don't see why you came back in the first place" Clary said pissed
"I'm protecting you Clary, your falling for someone who will hurt you" Sebastian said setting his hand on his sisters shoulder who shrugged away
"Maybe you should stop cause I don't need your god damn protection" she said glaring at him before walking in the direction of home
"Clary..." Sebastian said standing there stunned before sighing and following her after checking his watch thinking mom and Luke might be home by now.

Of course when dinner came it was only Luke, Sebastian and Jocelyn at the table no Clary insight but all knew she was locked away in her room pissed and ignoring all of them
"Clary come eat!" Jocelyn had called up before sitting down but after an hour they couldn't wait any longer and had began to eat
"So how was your day son?" Luke asked cutting into a piece of his steak
"Its was...alright I guess" he said remembering the fight him and Clary had not only at the park but also at school
"And school?" Jocelyn asked looking up at Sebastian who shrugged messing with his food
"It was alright me and Clary fought before school even started but hey she was a tad stressed so I can't blame her" Sebastian said not adding the whole Jace part but both parents caught on
"Damn jock I wish he'd just stay away from Clary and maybe she'd be happier" Jocelyn said shaking her head but sighed as she looked at Luke. Of course sebastian wasn't really hungry and excused himself early for the night and went to his room not even sure about what tomorrow was gonna bring but he hoped it'd be good.
Sebastian wasn't even asleep when he heard next door Clary talking
"Yea totally it's just unimaginable Magnus he's like a lost puppy who doesn't get no" he heard her say thinking it was about him as he continued to listen
"Whatever Mag I need sleep talk to you guys tomorrow? Love you Iz and Mag night" Clary said before he heard her sigh, plug in her phone before curling up into bed.
"Maybe I shouldn't protect her if she's feeling coddled?" He suggested as sleep slowly carried him in a different world.
