" tessa. we're gonna be late to the airport. " josh said as i was tieing my
shoe laces.
i dragged the suitcase loudly down the stairs which caused my dad to yell at me like usual but this time he had an excuse.
" oh tessa. i'm gonna miss you being around! " mum said as i hugged her tightly.
" well i'm not " i heard dad mumble as he walked down the stairs. deep
down, i hope mum heard it. i wanted
her to open her eyes and realise
what a butt wipe he is.
i said one last goodbye to everyone before leaving the house and got into the car. i strapped myself in tightly and waved to my mum as she slowly faded into the distance.
i plugged my phone into the CD player using the aux cable and pressed play on the last thing i was listening to. it ended up being Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood.
" really? " josh asked and rolls his eyes.
" people like some music and others like whatever noise you listen to. " i reply and we just sit there laughing.
around half and hour later, we had reached the airport. we took my suitcase out of the car and i put my backpack on my back because it ways it in the name. it was weird flying by myself but it was all going to be worth it in the end.
before going through security and all that, i gave josh one last hug.
" i'm gonna miss you d.ck head. " josh whispered into my ear.
" and as freja would say, joshua smith language! " i said back.
we pulled away and smiled at each other.
" i'll miss you joshua! " i yell as i wave and walk onwards.
" you know i hate that! " he replies and smiles.
i blow him a kiss and continue
walking, each pace being one
step closer to max, freja, tom and
harvey.

i'm waiting to get onto my plane when i take my phone out and start messaging the groupchat.
