Chapter 2: A Night With Strangers

(Minho's POV)

It was dark out, kids were getting escorted off the train. I was on my knees, hands still in cuffs. Y/N was next to me, as we sit here I memorize everything that just happened...

"Minho?! Y/N?!" I hear a familiar voice yell from outside the car we were in, I look to Y/N and she starts yelling "Newt! Thomas!" I begin to yell with her, and I can hear Aris and Sonya yelling too. We were just a few rows behind them until the door behind us to the other car opens up, I look back and two WICKED guards come in with a guy and a girl. One of the guards unlocks mine and Y/N's cuffs, once done a guards takes me, and the other takes Y/N. I look back and see the guy and girl getting in our place, not a second later me and Y/N were in the car behind us. Leaving us alone together.

"Don't worry, they didn't get what they wanted." I hear a voice say in front of me, I look up and see Janson with a WICKED guard. I give him the death glare and he moves in front of Y/N. He kneels down and lifts her chin to look at him, "your coming with me." He says, she gives him a confused look and then the WICKED guard lifts her up and forces her to walk with them. She looks back to me with scared eyes, I try to get up but a guard pushes me back down.

~~Time Skip~~

I was being escorted with a group of kids by WICKED guards, we went into their headquarters, went up a few levels, and we came into a room with tables in the middle and doors on the walls. The people at the desks scanned us and then threw us into a room.

I was stuck in a room with only guys, guess WICKED sticks with their maze plans. One guy tried to break out by banging and kicking the door, eventually one kid had to pull him away. "I can't stay here dude! Who knows what they'll do to us?!" The guy that got pulled away said, the other kid just sighed and sat back down on his bunk. "Since we're gonna be roommates I suggest we all greet each other" a kid said from above me, I look at the bed over mine to reveal a kid with blonde hair and brown eyes. Everyone stared at him. "I'll go first then, I'm Simon! Nice to meet you all." He said proudly.

I sighed before introducing myself, "I'm Minho." All the attention then turned to me, "aren't you that guy that tried to stop the guards from taking that girl?" The kid across from me asked, I nodded my head. "Why? Is she your girlfriend or something?" He asked again, "your a curious one aren't you." I said back ignoring his question, "is that supposed to be a compliment?" The kid asked. "No, it's not." The kid above him said.

After a while everyone started to become friends, it reminded of the great times in the glade. Some nights we would just talk for hours wondering what could be in the real world, no in that shucking maze.

But then everyone got shushed from a speaker in the top right corner of the room. "Light's out in five minutes." A voice said from the speaker, everyone looked at each other, "anyone know what time it is?" A boy asked, luckily one of them had a watch. "It's only nine..." 

Everyone sighed and got ready for bed. But why I was waiting for the lights to go out a certain memory came across my mind. 

I was running in the maze with Thomas ignoring the fact that we were supposed to take separate ways. I looked up and the sun was right in the middle of the sky, "okay lets stop for lunch." I said to Thomas. Following my orders he said against the wall and pulled out his lunch from his pack, I joined him.

"What's going on with you and Y/N?" I choked the minute he asked that question, he patted me on the back as a wiped my mouth. "Why?" I say still trying to recover, "well its just that you seem to be more protective and more close to her than usual." Thomas explains, I think if I should tell him the truth or not. But I decide to cause I know he'll be busy with other things soon. 

"Well, when Y/N came up the box with Teresa I couldn't help but stare only at Y/N. I didn't think much of it until the night we played truth or dare, when Teresa dared me to kiss her I was honestly excited. Not only because I could be kissing a girl for the first time, but I was with her, that's what I liked about it. And over time my feelings for her got stronger, and I kept it a secret. I never want her to know, or for Newt to know." Thomas stares at me with a blank expression, he seemed to ponder on the thought. "I always knew you had feelings for her!" He said punching me in the arm, I laughed it off but was kinda shocked that he knew before I told him. 

We ate for a few more minutes until Thomas decided we should finish up the run, I agreed and packed my stuff.

The lights were out, I didn't realize how tired I was until now. I slowly drifted off to sleep, leaving the horrible place I'm in.

"Minho?" I hear a familiar voice say, I take in my surroundings as I search for the source of the voice. It was a huge white room, windows on every side of the wall. "Minho?" The voice says again, but then I recognize the voice. Y/N.

"Y/N?!" I call out, but there was no response. Suddenly I hear the window behind me shatter into pieces, I look behind me and see Thomas and Newt barging into the room. They immediately pull me into a group hug, I'm shocked at first but hug back. "Come on Minho we have to hurry!" Thomas says ordering me to follow him, but I don't move. 

"What about Y/N?" I say to the both of them. They stop in their tracks and turn to me, "Minho who are you talking about?" Thomas asks, "yeah we don't know anyone named Y/N." Newt says joining in, I look at them with confusion and shock. "Y/N. Newt she's your girlfriend, and Thomas she's one of your best friends!" I say trying to jog their memory.

They begin to talk but I ignore, a figure walking from behind them comes closer, and closer. Once it comes into view I feel relief flood over me, "Y/N!" I say going to hug her, but I can't move. She stares at me with cold eyes, "I'm sorry Minho, they don't know me. Why? Cause I'm dead." She says in the most harsh tone.

Then out of nowhere, her eyes begin to darken, veins start to pop out everywhere on her body, and a black substance comes from her mouth. Before I could even speak she charges, tackling me to the ground. I fight back and it's no use at all, Thomas and Newt just stand there watching. How are they allowing this?! I kicked her off of me and realize, blood is oozing from my head. "Why?" Is all I can get out before things go black.

"Subject A7 is who we need." I hear a voice from outside the door say, I don't move but can tell that everyone is asleep from all the snoring. I quickly close my eyes when I hear the door open, I hear footsteps coming towards me and eventually a hand grabs my arm to take me off my bed. I pretend to wake up and see I'm being dragged by two WICKED guards. I don't even fight back I'm too tired. 

We reach a room with doctors, a table that leans diagonal, and lab equipment on other tables in the room, with one single window in front of me. The guards put me on the diagonal table, and strap me to it, in the corner of my eye I see a female doctor inject something into me. I start to feel dizzy and before I could fall back asleep, I look towards the window in the room. The door in the other room opens and at that moment I passed out, but I could've sworn it was Teresa that walked through the door.
