Memories (Newt x Reader~Final Book In Newt x Reader Series)

(Chapter 8 Continued)

(Newt's POV)

We rushed through the halls of WICKED keeping our heads down trying not to be caught, but of course people look at us suspiciously. We begin to hear WICKED guards rushing down the halls with their guns and heavy suits, Tommy leads me into a room to hide as they pass by. "Okay come on." He says once they're gone, I get up and follow after him catching my breath. 

Once we were sure the WICKED guards were completely gone we started yelling for Minho, I can hear our voices echo which makes me worry. And then Tommy stops, he stares down a hall and points his gun. I look behind us and see Janson, "Tommy move!" I say pushing him to make him run, we turn a corner and a WICKED guards stops us. Tommy knocks him out and we hide behind the wall.

I try to catch my breath while Tommy shoots, this virus is worse than I thought. Once I feel better I can clearly focus on the situation and I spot an electrical grenade in the guards pocket. I take it and push Tommy out of the way throwing it to the WICKED guards that were shooting at us. I watch the grenade electrocute all of them until more come. 

Tommy then gets up and runs, I follow after him. We try to avoid as many guards as we can, we turn a corner and right in front of us was a man pointing a gun at us. Me and Tommy stop in our tracks, fear rushing all over me.

But before the man could shoot, another man comes out of no where and knocks him out. Once the man calms down I get a glimpse of him...Minho.

He looks to me and Tommy shocked, we all run into a group hug. We're finally reunited, we pull away still staring at each other in shock. Until, Janson comes up from behind us, we immediately run the opposite direction to who knows where!

As we run through the halls I look back, we lost them. I think to myself, but when I look forward he's on the other end of the hall.  I look around for a place to escape until I see Tommy opening a door, I quickly run in and once the door is shut I push a table in front of it not letting Janson come in.

But I begin to hear a noise from behind me, I look and sparks are coming through the door. "Any ideas?!" Minho says still looking to the door, we turn to look to Tommy only to find he's looking through the window. "Maybe" he says turning back to us, we then throw a tank of whatever, breaking the glass. I take a chair and get rid of the rest of the glass.

We all look down it, unsure if we should really do this. "Okay, get a head start." Tommy says backing up, "you sure about this?" Minho asks as we join him. "Not really" Tommy says back, "nice pep talk" Minho says sarcastically. "Yeah, we're all bloody inspired!" I say, and then I hear it.

The noise of the lock dropping, and its silent. We look back to the door waiting for something to happen, and something did. 

The door slowly opened, and a familiar figured walked in. "Y/N?" I say, I was about to hug her but before I can she yells, "JUMP!"

She then ran past us and jumped out the window into the water, and then a big bang came from behind us. I immediately turned to look back at the door and Janson had barged in, I take that time to run and jump out the window into the water.

"THOMAS!" Minho yells as we fall into the water, the air hitting my face soon goes away when the water hits my face. I look around for Y/N under water but there's no sign, I swam up to the surface seeing she was swimming to the edge to get out. I quickly followed after her and the minute I was out I pulled her into a big hug, "please tell me---" but before I could finish she answered me saying.

"What's your name sweetheart?" A big smile grew on my face, those were the first words I said to her. I then lift her up and spin her around, I put her down and give her a passionate kiss.

"Y/N?" I hear Minho say, Y/N turns her attention to Minho and her face lights up. "Minho!" She says running up to him, she gives him a hug and says, "I thought you were dead!" I can see Minho hug her tighter, happy to see her too.

Tommy comes up to me, "are they back?" He says, I look to Y/N and nod happily. "Drop the weapon!" A voice says from behind me, I turn and I see we're surrounded by WICKED guards. "Oh shit" Y/N says grabbing my arm, "come on your coming with us!" One of the WICKED guards says.

Then out of no where a WICKED guard shoots the rest of the guards, "wait...." Y/N says looking to the last guard standing. The guard takes off his mask revealing Gally. I let out a sigh of relief, and pull Y/N back into a hug, still happy that she remembers everything.

(Your POV)

I honestly thought that Minho was gone for good, after getting my memories back I remember him being taken with me. "Gally?" Minho says staring at his old friend, I look to Minho and see his shocked face which makes me laugh.

Newt is still hugging me until I remember, "Newt...." I say putting my hand up to his cheek, I feel the veins popping out of his skin, his hair soaked with water and sweat. "Don't worry about me" he says putting my hair behind my ear. "We're gonna get you the serum" I say staring into his changing eyes, he then pulls me into a kiss and I kiss back. Missing his soft lips.

"Okay, we have to go." Gally says grabbing everyone's attention. He runs the opposite direction, and we follow quickly.

~~Time Skip~~

Half-way we had to stop, Newt was getting worse. Right now we were resting on a side walk, a building to my right, and a single tree to my left. Newt was right beside me, he looked awful. "How ya doing Newt?" Minho asks him, I focus more on Newt waiting for his response, "I feel awful, but it's good to see you again." Newt replies putting his hand on Minho's shoulder.

Once Minho walks away I notice how Newt was sweating like crazy, his hair was drenched in sweat. "You should take this off" I say pulling on his WICKED jacket, he looks to me and begins to unbutton it. But he doesn't take it off, I look at his grey shirt underneath the jacket. Some spots are dark with sweat, "don't worry about me." I hear him say, I look up to him and he's staring into my E/C eyes. 

"Newt. I have plenty of reasons to worry about you, and this virus is one of them. But not all." I say to him putting his hand in mine.

"I love you Y/N" he says holding my hand tighter, "I love you too Newt." I say back giving him a small kiss on the cheek. I get up and walk to Gally and Minho, "how many blocks left?" I ask Gally, he turns to me and then looks to Newt. "About twelve blocks." He replies, I look to Thomas to find he was listening. "We should get moving" Thomas says moving to Newt, "come on Newt." He says putting one of Newt's arms around his shoulder for support, but it's no use as Newt just falls to the ground. Minho then rushes over helping Thomas.

I follow after them staying behind Newt, just in case anything bad happens. And I hope nothing does.
