Marcus didn't see Faith again after that, and he decided to avoid harming anymore of her men. He didn't see her again until her and her men decided to take over the trailer park that he lived beside. When he heard a commotion coming from the park, he grabbed his handgun and opened the door of his tailer.

He slowly walked out of his trailer and towards the park, he could practically see the bliss in the air. Marcus quietly walked around the metal fence of the park, walking straight through the gate. Faith's men seemed too busy to even notice him, so he just watched as they rounded up the residents and drugged them up with the bliss.

"We are not going to harm them, I want to show them the path" Faith's distinctive voice came from behind him, he didn't even turn to face her.

"Shouldn't you let them come willingly before 'showing them the path'?" Marcus asked with a small sigh. He couldn't help but wonder why she kept appearing to him, talking to him instead of trying to convert him.

"Of course we wish it was that simple. But they are blind, it is my job to make they see, to make them understand" Faith spoke sweetly as she placed her hand on Marcus' shoulder and walked around to stand beside him.

"It's not actually understanding if they are drugged up" he commented, finally turning his head and looking down at her. She was already looking up at him with soft eyes and a kind smile.

"You should be feeling the effects of the bliss" she tilted her head, ignoring his comment.

"Wait, you're real?" Marcus asked sarcastically, feeling completely comfortable around her even though he knows that he shouldn't. Faith let out a little giggle before just smiling at him, he couldn't help but smile back at her. She was intoxicating.

"Why doesn't it effect you?" Faith asked him, confused and curious about the man in front of her. He was taller than her and looked older than her, maybe his late twenties.

"Maybe it does. Maybe that's why I am still here and talking to you" he shrugged, tying to come up with a suitable reason to why he is talking to Faith Seed so casually.

"Hmm perhaps" she hummed. "If you will excuse me, I must tend to my followers" Faith smiled, dropping her hand an letting her fingers graze against his before walking away.

Marcus began to wonder if he really was immune to the bliss, after all Faith just keeps seeming to pop up and talks to him. Once she was it of sight, Marcus decided to walk further into the park.

He stopped when he saw Faith's men rounding up the residents, they all seemed to be high on the bliss. They complied with the soldiers without hesitation, following them towards the gate of the park. Marcus was about to quickly hide behind one of the trailers but got caught. "Hey!" A rough voice came from behind him, definitely not Faith this time.

Marcus slowly turned to the voice and saw a man with a messy beard and long hair. "This way, let's go" the man ordered, obviously assuming that Marcus was under the influence of the bliss.

Marcus nodded before following the man towards the group and joining them. They walked towards some vans that were lined up on the road, Faith was standing in front of them with a warm smile. She greeted the intoxicated residents as they were loaded into the vans, pausing for a moment when she saw Marcus.

He continued to play along, pretending that he was under the influence of the bliss just like everyone else. Faith assumed that he just needed a higher concentration for some reason. Even though this should be good news and a small success, she found herself frowning. Apparently nobody is immune to the bliss...

Marcus climbed into one of the van and sat down beside a dazed woman. He managed to get one last look at Faith before the doors closed, she was looking back at him with a confused but hopeful expression. He then began his journey to who knows where.
