The next day Jun Hua arrived early. She quickly spotted her new friend, Fan Lanying standing beside a huge tree. Since there is still enough time before lesson, Jun Hua walks towards her.
"Good morning, Miss Fan Lanying."
Fan Lanying turned her head and smiled. "Good morning, Jun Hua. You're quite early today."
Jun Hua nodded. She stared at the item Fan Lanying hold. If she's not wrong, it is a wooden dagger used for training.
Fan Lanying noticed Jun Hua gaze. "I always bring my wooden dagger. Don't worry, it is not sharp and you cannot hurt anyone with it."
Jun Hua knows that. The dagger sides are blunt with a few dents. It seems that Fan Lanying often used that dagger for practice.
"You use a dagger?"
Fan Lanying nodded. "Swords are heavy so I choose a dagger. It's more convenient to bring and use. Oh, right have you ever trained with a sword?"
"I have."
Fan Lanying stared at Jun Hua hand and pick it up. Her action is sudden but for Jun Hua it is not. She allowed the girl to look at her hand. Although her hand is small, it's rough at touch which makes it different to normal nobles' hand. On the other hand, Fan Lanying hand is still smooth.
Fan Lanying took out a bottle. "Use this on your hand. It will make the skin smoother."
Jun Hua stared at that bottle. In truth she has a bottle of similar medicine at home, but she rarely uses it because it will be weird for Jun Min to have smooth hand. Since she's going to live as Jun Hua more often, maybe it's time to start taking care of her own appearance.
She picked the bottle. "Thank you Fan Lanying."
"You're welcome," Fan Lanying grinned. "Let's go to class. If the teacher comes and we're not there, we will be punished."
It's still not the time for lessons yet but Jun Hua followed after Fan Lanying to their classroom. A few girls already there and talking with their friends. Jun Hua and Fan Lanying pick one of the seats and started talking.
To Jun Hua surprise, their conversation is truly interesting. It has been a long time since she has anyone she could talk comfortably. Because of that, she keeps on talking with Fan Lanying until the teacher come.
The one who teach painting is Xuan Pei. That teacher instructs them how to hold the brush and all before instructing them to make a landscape painting.
Jun Hua originally wanted to paint too, but she decides to against that idea. If people know that she's in truth not completely useless, they might have their guard against her. It would be better to let them think of her as a useless lady who latched on her brother's brilliance.
Fan Lanying painting is decent and that girl didn't have any intention to improve it. In the end, both of them talked while working and Jun Hua ended with blank canvas while Fan Lanying manages to paint a good landscape.
"My, with that kind of ability, shouldn't you start at year 1?" Lin San stared at the blank canvas in disdain. She has not expected that this girl cannot even hold the brush correctly. What a useless lady.
"Yeah, you better learn from the start," one of the ladies behind Lin San chipped in.
Jun Hua stared blankly. She has not come to stir any trouble and yet that girl comes right to her doorsteps? Jun Hua racked her brain. If she doesn't make that girl tastes some defeat, then she will change her name!
Seeing Jun Hua didn't answer, Lin San sneered. What a timid girl!
On her side, Fan Lanying glared at Lin San. "If you want to help, you should have teaches her and not mocking her. What kind of sister are you?"
Lin San glared back. She has forgotten that Fan Lanying is famous for her sharp and straightforward tongue. That girl is not afraid to stir up trouble which makes most of the girls avoid her in case they got involved.
Jun Hua knows that she's not their match in talking. Her hand swiftly takes her brush and she lightly tossed it to the nearby painting equipment near the girl's side. The water container splashed towards Lin San and drenched her clothes.
"AHHH! Who splashed me?" Lin San turned her head furiously. The water has made her clothes wet and it's one of her favorite dress.
The girls are all flustered. They didn't see anyone splashing that water, the container just swayed and suddenly fall. Because of Jun Hua speed, they didn't notice what she did and no one knows what actually happened.
Jun Hua curled her lips, but her head keeps looking down. On her side, Fan Lanying mouth is opened in surprise. In the next second, she's laughing hard.
"Wahahaha, what a wonderful view you show us there, Lin San! All of us could see your beautiful feet clearly!"
Lin San hurriedly looks down and her face turned red. She doesn't care anymore about the girls by her side and stormed out of the room to go home. If the boys catch her like this, they would surely think that she's a disgrace.
It took Fan Lanying a few minutes to finish laughing.
"I bet she won't go to school for the next few days. She won't come and bother you for a while."
Jun Hua nodded. Even if Lin San suspicious, she won't know that it's her. After all, who would believe her if she said that Jun Hua sneak attacks her?
After talking for a few more minutes, Jun Hua and Fan Lanying parted.
