There on December 10 night
The full moon lost it's light
For bit by bit it disappeared in the sky
Watching sat my dad and I
We watched for nearly two hours before the sun came
Then the now crescent moon was not the same
With the sun's light it became red like a flower
And disappeared behind the Rocky Mountains to cower
