Fire and Ice

~ Lance's P.O.V

I yawn as I walk to the lounge with my legs almost tripping me down to the floor due to my tiredness. Sigh, I want to sleep much longer! As I enter the lounge, I cover my mouth yet again since I yawn a second time and this time with little tears coming out of my eyes that makes me close them.

"Morning everybo- Ow!" I make contact with one of the member's back which kind of hurt my nose!

"Sor-" I was going to apologize but the person in front of me cuts me off.

"Watch where you're going dimwit!"

The familiar annoying voice pierce through my ears. It could only be one person.

Keith.

"Well maybe if you didn't just stood there like a dumb dummy, I wouldn't have bumped into you!" I yell back
"Well maybe if you watched where you were freaking going, this wouldn't have happened!" He responds with a deadly glare

Ugh seriously. I can never get along with this guy. He's so full of himself it just makes me want to teach him a good lesson!

"Well you didn't have to insult me you mullet! You could've just walked away and stopped being an annoying bastard!"
"The hell did you just call me? Say that again."
"B-A-S-T-A-R-D" I stick my tongue out
"THAT'S IT!"

Keith pushes me to the wall and raises his fists. Pfft, does this mullet boy think he scares me? He has very much to learn this fool! Just when I threw my fist to his direction, Someone gets a hold of it.

"Shiro!" I call his name out
"Guys, how many times do you guys have to do this? Is this a hobby or what?" Our leader asks
"You're right, Shiro. He isn't worth my time."
"That's not what he said at all dummy!" I yell
"Damn, you really need a good beating!"
"ENOUGH!"

Keith and I look at Shiro who put on a tired and slightly angry face. Damn it... it's all Keith's fault for getting Shiro angry.

"No it was you who made him angry!"
"What the!? What are you, a freaking mind reader?!"
"No. It's just your a dumbass with a simple face that can be read easily,"
"THAT'S IT, KEITH! I'M GOING TO RIP OFF THAT UGLY MULLET HAIR OF Y-owowowow"

I instantly feel pain in my ears as Allura grab the both of us by the ear and giving ass an annoyed look. What did I do?!

"You two are paladins of Voltron that are suppose to be saving the entire Universe yet here you are fighting like children!" Allura scolds us

"Well he started it-"
"Lance, you piece of sh-"
"My god, can't you guys stop being so annoying. How the hell do you two dumbos not get tired of this battle between you guys?" Pidge adds
"Seriously, there's an end to everything. Why don't you guys just come to good terms and stop repeating this nonsense everyday." Hunk tells us while eating this alien chip looking junk food.

"You guys are allies." Coran came forward.

I look back at Keith and I start to think about our time together. We did work good together, enough that we seem like a good team. But I don't know...

Keith will always be my rival. My opponent.

"What are you looking at, idiot?" Keith glares at me
"Always got to be so rude, huh? I'll be the MATURE one and stop our little argument here since you clearly don't care about our other team mate's feelings." I cockily say
"Screw y-" Keith gets cut off by Shiro, " That's enough. You two go back in your room and reflect on your behaviour."

"Hmph!" Keith and I sigh

Just when I was about to exit the room Keith pushed me and got out first while giving me a "I'm the one who will get out FIRST" look. AAAAAAHHHHH! I can't handle this guy!

Ally? More like enemy at times... actually EVERYTIME!

~ Shiro's P.O.V

"Just like fire and ice. Complete opposites and always opposing one and the other. Sigh" Hunk silently let out
"Or more like tomato and apple! One is a fruit and the other a vegetable!" Coran plays with his moustache
"Coran... they are both fruits." Hunk replies
"Sun and Moon..." Allura explains in her own way
"That could be accurate. Lance is the annoying sun that keeps on raying his annoyingness and stupidity but is a go-happy person while Keith is the quiet and lonesome Moon who prefers to be silent." Pidge explains profoundly
"I say, we just stick with fire and ice since Sun and Moon reminds me of Pokémon games." Hunk convinces
"Well Fire and Ice is also a video game!" Pidge attacks
"Correction, that's fire and water, actually more specifically, Fire boy and Water girl. Complete different things." Hunk shakes his head in disappointment
"I outta paralysise you right now" Pidge threatens
"Hey hey, let's not became Lance and Keith right now!" Hunk nervously says

Why do we even need to give them names? I don't get my fellow partners sometimes. But seriously, these two talented guys have a big issue and it needs to be solve as soon as possible. Having one of these little fights can bring down the whole team and even though they know this important fact, they still go at it.

Complete opposites are hard to get by. However, it doesn't mean that it is impossible to get along. These two may go hard and ruthless with each other. But being complete opposites, they could also be the most inseparable ones in this crew.

If they are each other's most powerful rival, they are each other's most powerful partner.

I got an idea.

"Team." I call out to the others
"Yes, Shiro?" Allura respond
"Lance and Keith may look like they can never be together, however they can be." I state it out
"How so? I feel like these two are going to rip each other's head out!" Coran says with fright
"And it's not like we can do anything about it, Shiro. It is truly up to them but as you can see, they really aren't making any progress." Pidge informs
"I must agree with the others. As mush as I want those two to cooperate, it just seems like they will end up detesting each other even more." Allura looks at me
"Plus, it's not like we can do anything about it. We can't just forcefully tell them "hey you two, get along already! Y'all seem like complete idiotic monkeys fighting for a banana. It's time for you guys to share!" And expect them to actually do it!" Hunk frowns
"We can't force them. But we can make it happen." I tell them
"What do you mean?" Coran asks

"They are 'fire and ice' as you guys describe, but complete opposites are the ones who attract the most."
"What do you have in mind?" Allura asks curiously

"We give them a mission. Just the two of them alone."
