Yoongi woke up to the strip of sunlight right at his eyes and groaned. The birds chirping a melody outside the window notified him that it must still be early. He rubbed his nose bridge and suddenly remembered last night's incidents. He received not one, but two confessions and probably lost the love of his life because of a close friend.

Speaking of the friend. He saw Taehyung laying beside his bed, head resting on folded arms. The blue haired looked around violently and remembered how he passed out in a forest. Did Tae find him and drag him home? Overcome with emotions, he began stroking his head. He was his best friend who he was very fond of, why must things have become so complicated in a span of one day?

The sleeping boy shifted and Yoongi retracted his hand. He groggily opened his eyes, which soon widened with worry.
"Hyung! Are you alright?" He exclaimed in concern, "when I found you passed out in a forest I almost passed out myself! I didn't know what I would do if-" he shut up when felt the older boy's hand on his head.
"I'm okay. Thank you for bringing me home, Tae." He smiled, but furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed tears welling up in the younger's eyes. "What's wrong? Don't cry, I told you it's fine now."

"I-it's just.." Taehyung sniffled, "..I thought that you wouldn't wake up.. I don't know what I would do then because I..I l-love you so m-much hyung!" He whispered the last part and broke into a wail. Yoongi's heart tightened seeing his closest friend so broken like that. He pulled him closer and engulfed into an embrace, placing a soft kiss on the top of his head.
"Shhh. Hyung is alright, there's nothing to worry about hmm?" He lulled the younger, rocking slightly.

As the hiccuping and sniffling died down, the blue haired swallowed, nervous.
"You do know that I love you right?" He murmured, causing the younger to flinch and look up. "I do. I care for you a lot, I enjoy spending time with you, and you always know how to lift my mood up."
After a short silence gathering his thoughts, he continued, "I love you dearly, but.. not that type of love."

The younger only sighed.
"Yes hyung. I understand... I expected rejection, but.. I didn't think that it would hurt this badly."
"I'm sorry," Tae felt Yoongi's breath against his locks, and it was somewhat soothing.

"I figured your heart belonged to someone else already, but I still confessed in hopes that I had a chance.. but at least I will be able to move on without the extra weight on my shoulders. I feel a bit lighter." He smiled, but sadness was still evident in his eyes.
"Wait you knew?"
"Well, yea. I realised once you were talking about that Jimin. You had a glint in your eyes that you hadn't had when talking about other people. And I also read the letter from him. Sorry hyung. He must be special.."

"He is.." The older agreed, "but he saw us. And definitely misunderstood."
"He did?" The brown-haired puffy eyes widened in surprise.
"I figured, otherwise he would probably not leave the package where he did."
"That's.." Tae felt helpless. Not only did he get rejected, but he inconvenienced others with his confession. He felt like shit.

"Now didn't you beat yourself up for it! You are a golden human being and I don't know what I would do without you. It's not.. well.. it's kinda your fault but I don't blame you," Yoongi nudged the younger playfully, earning a giggle.
"Wow thanks." He smiled, a little sarcastically but with genuine happiness this time.

"Saying that, I need to fix things. So if you don't mind I'll just-" he was about to stand up but he felt the younger push him down again.
"Nope, not leaving anywhere until you've had a big breakfast. I'm not having you faint again!" He scolded and left, seemingly to prepare breakfast.
Yoongi huffed, but he was incredibly thankful to Tae. He took his rejection well, and remained his friend.

Now all he needed to do was get Jimin back. It should go fine, right?
