Tyler's P.O.VJosh opens the gate to the prison, letting me in. It's around 11:30 at night. Josh and I have been planning this for about a week now. Scar and the rest have no idea. I sneak into the institution, Josh by my side; covered by the darkness, the only light being the outside lights of the prison and the glowing moon.
Once we actually get into the building, we sneak past the cameras, although the guards probably aren't watching them. Can't be too sure. The possibility of bumping into someone in the halls are small since Josh is the only officer here, except the guards that watch the cameras.
It takes around 10 minutes to get to the cell block since we were going slower than usual. Josh opens the door and everything is dead silent. We can't exactly just press the button and open the doors, that makes too much noise. Josh and I decided that I should use my knowledge of electronics to get the doors open.
I walk over to the first door. Mikey was sleeping peacefully. Sorry in advance. I hit against the door. Not loud enough to alert guards, but loud enough to wake half of the people in the cell block. Mikey jumps.
"Huh? What?" He asks, looking around. He then spots me and a confused look settles on his face. "Tyler?" I guess most people didn't agree with Scar's nicknaming. Most of them just call me Tyler.
"Hey Mikey. Josh and I are here to get you out." I tell him. Josh points a flashlight at the huge black cord that lead from his door to the red button. I take up said cord before taking out a small pocket knife from my pocket and cut a slit in the rubber.
"Are you sure you know what you're doing?" Mikey asks. I nod at him, still concentrating on the wires.
"Of course I do. I did years of this in school and out." I explain to him. There were three wires inside, a blue wire, a red wire and a yellow wire. Your brain would probably lead you to the red wire, but that's not right. That's for bombs, this isn't a bomb. It's actually the yellow wire. I remember my teacher telling me that the people who created things like this made a yellow wire to show electricity. All the other wires do something else, but the yellow is most important.
I cut the yellow wire and a click could be heard. I stand up from the floor and slide open the door. Mikey gets up from the bed and walks out. I give him an extra knife I brought just in case and told him to cut the yellow wires. He nods and opens the doors on the left side while I open the doors on the right.
Two by two we finally get all 8 people out. The real problem is getting them all out unseen. You see, outside of this place we have two cars for everyone. Josh is driving one and Harley is driving another.
In a line of two, we all file out of the cell block and into the halls. Everyone was on edge, it's a bit too silent. Nothing made a sound, no crickets, no night birds or any other creatures. It was dead silent. We made our way through the 3rd hall; happy that we only had to go through one more before we could get out of here. Then we get scared out of our wits as we all froze when footsteps are heard.
"Who's that? No one's suppose to be here." I whisper to Josh. He shrugs. It couldn't be one of the security camera guards, they don't leave the camera room. As we were all freaking out, because it's a hall and there's no where to hide, the person walks around the corner. I let out a breath as I see who it is. It's only Debby, there's nothing she can do. She stops in her tracks as she sees all of us.
"Um...jo-" She freezes in her words as she spots me, next to Josh. It looks like she just solved a million dollar mystery. Realization filled her eyes as she glanced between Josh and I.
"Debby, what are you doing here?" Josh asks her. Her eyes stop on Josh.
"I was looking for you." She answers before looking back to me. "You." She says simply. I raise my eyebrows.
"Me?" I ask, pointing at myself. She nods.
"Yes, you. You took my Joshie away from me." Is she not over that? Josh told me that he said they could be friends and that she agreed.
"Debby, we talked about this." Josh says walking towards her.
"Yea we talked." She says walking forward also. "Still be friends me ass." She says pushing pass Josh, making her way towards me.
"Debby, what are you doing?" Josh asks her, but she doesn't stop. Her hand makes her way to her side and I finally see what's hidden there, a gun.
"I'm going to fucking kill you." She says as she pulls out the gun and points it at me, still walking forward. My first instinct is to lift me hand to stop her.
'Tyler don't!' Hope screams in my hand. My hand moves from her to my head as I cradle it. Hope's shout shook everything. It hurts.
'No! Use the power!' Blurry shouts, which just makes me head hurt more. I squeeze my eyes shut as I hear the click of the gun before a shot is heard. The loud sound echoing down the halls as well as an object dropping. I didn't feel any pain, no impact. I slowly open my eyes to see Debby, her hands has dropped to her side as a mark bleeds through her shirt. The red mark on her chest. Her eyes wide with terror as she looks at the mark before looking up at me, blood gushing from her mouth as she falls to the floor.
Behind her was Josh, a gun in his hand as he watches the lifeless body on the floor with wide eyes. His breathing was heavy and shaky. He shot her. He shot her for me. Josh drops the gun before placing his hand over his mouth, tears running down his face. I break out of my shocked trance and run to him. He opens his arms to me as I rush into them, tears wetting his shirt.
He hugs me tightly and I hug him back, crying into his shoulder. I know how much she meant to him, she was his world, but seeing that he shot her for me will never make me doubt his love for me again. That was a brave move.
"I love you." I whisper to him. It's so weird when you think about it. How does someone find love this quickly. We've only known each other for not even a full two months.
"I love you too. I had no idea she was like this." He explains. I didn't know she was like that either. With how fast their breakup was, she seemed like a really nice person.
"I know. I didn't know she was like that either, but you never judge a book by it's cover."
A/N: done! Wooo! This book is almost finished. A few more chapters and it should be done. I'm excited. Anyways, that's it. Bye.
Wolf out :3
I made this chapter complicated as fuck so please ignore everything.
