"The reason you are all gathered in the auditorium today might be known to some people, but is probably unknown to most. A fellow student here at our high school took her life two nights ago by way of sleeping pills. This is a terrible tragedy that has occurred in our school, as she was kind to her classmates and an excellent student. She will be remembered throughout our hall for years to come, and it is unthinkable that anyone could have felt so bad in our school. I'm going to ask anyone who wants to speak about her, or for her to come up here to say a brief few words."
