She's my world I cannot let anything happen to her.

Ahad:
Before opening the door, I dialed the police commissioner's number. I told Yumna to calm down and put the phone on speaker since my father and him get along well. I suggested going to see what was going on.

I was afraid of what would happen because I had two ladies in the house, but my parents were safe. I went slowly, thinking about how to protect my wife and her aunt, and I was almost at the door.

I do not like this man; I just do not like his presence. I did not tell Yumna and her aunt that I had my phone on speaker while I was in my pocket. He started asking me questions as soon as I opened the door.

My palms were shaking. I had never experienced anything like this in my life, and since my wife and aunt were family, I had to be strong for them and could not show any weakness at the time.

I am aware that when I confronted him, I touched a raw nerve-I saw fear. When he revealed his secret-that he had a son-my aunt's and Yumna's eyes widened. Did dad know?he hid from me?

I only hope that my thoughts are fantasy and that my father is not friends with this villainous uncle. My father called me after we got together and we talked. He told me that Imran's uncle had called him, but that dad had turned down the offer because he did not want to get involved in such nefarious schemes to harm family members.

He described everything in great detail, but his knowledge was incorrect. Since he killed Yumna's parents, her parents must have also made an effort to save their son.All for money, who does that?feelings of jealousy?hate?Even though Imran's wedding is next week, we can not let him know that we can not ruin his happiness because it is been a long time since he is been happy. Imran is one of my best friends, and I will stop at nothing to keep my family safe.

I wanted to clarify to Imran's uncle that Yumna and her family were once happily housed together, and that he had assumed everything wrong.

When he revealed the truth and what he wanted, I saw his evil laugh and smirk. His men then pointed guns at the women, but I knew he would not dare hurt a woman, and the next thing I knew, that was only to scare and divert them. As I looked in his direction, I saw his hand slowly go into his pocket and he took out a revolver.

I did not hesitate; he intended to murder Yumna so that Imran would suffer. When I approached him, he fired two shots indiscriminately.

My shoulder and the area next to my leg hurt so much.

My eyes were slowly closing as we watched the police arrest her uncle because my phone was in my pocket and the speaker was on, but he insisted that this was not the end. I slowly fell down, replaying everything that had happened. Soon, we heard sirens, but I was too exhausted to sleep. I had to take a bullet for them because I had to save them, and blood was streaming out of my leg and shoulder because the pain was too great for me to handle.

My family and my wife come first.

I could not speak, but I could hear different voices. Yumna was sitting next to me, sobbing so hard that her eyes got red. Her aunt was trying to wake me up, but I could not because I was so tired.

Yumna kept trying to rub my palm and crying, holding my hands, praying, and urging me to stay awake. "Please be alright, stay awake the ambulance it is on way," she said.

She stood up, still holding my hand, and said, "Ahad, please do not sleep here; they have come." The next thing I saw was myself being driven to the hospital in an ambulance, where I was only allowed to fall asleep.

*****
After a few days, Imran's wedding is coming up, and although the doctors declared my return to be miraculous, we all know it was only due to Allah's intervention.

I am still in pain, and I am not supposed to drive, lift heavy things, or do anything else for extended periods of time. My wife is watching over me, making sure I do not even stand or hold a laptop. Since they returned, Hamza and Yakub have been supporting their father's business.

Yakub and Hamza also arrived at this point, as everyone was lending support to each other. It seemed like Imran's wedding had already started because Yumna's friends were there.

I am telling you I will become lazy because my wife will not let me go downstairs; she told them I should be upstairs so that if anyone comes, I do not have to go and open the door or anything. But guess what? She is the best, and I was healing really quickly. Alya and Lubayna were here because we thought that not telling Imran and Aisha about everything would break them.

I heard her worried voice as I was about to touch my laptop.

With a low voice, "Be careful," she handed me my laptop and asked how long I would work. Strictly telling me not to work for more than 30 minutes, she postponed all of my meetings because she was now in charge.

After finishing, I considered spending some time with her before returning to work because Imran's father needed some time to recover from his wedding. It was almost lunchtime, so I prayed zhur and she prayed on mat. I miss praying with her and I can not wait to feel completely well.

Life has been filled with surprises.

We heard a knock on the door, and soon Mum and Dad were next to us, hugging Yumna, and her aunt was now staying with us; she was resting at the moment, having been through a lot.

"She is one of the best daughters in law," mum praised her, and my wife, who was a little bossy at first, became shy because she was not used to receiving compliments.

I vividly recall all the incidents, including my acceptance of Yumna's dare and my relief when she declined my parents' suggestion for a name. Upon accepting, Yumna showed me what it meant to be a human being-loving, caring, forgiving, and forgetting-while standing beside my wife, laughing and chatting with my parents.

Even though I know she has experienced difficult times in life, I will always stand by her side and protect her no matter what. I looked at her, and she seemed to sense my gaze as we exchanged eye contact.

They all started to cry when I told them, "Now, insha'Allah, all problems will be over. We will be having ups and downs, but I will always protect you all."

With courage, she said, "Thank you Ahad for entering my life. I can not thank Allah enough for sending you to me." She then looked away, as if recalling that my parents were present.

"That is like our children, and now when will we hear the good news that we are getting old and need grandchildren to play with," the father remarked. Yumna's mother turned to face her, and I glanced in her direction.

If she simply says that she is ready, then I will give her everything.

Note:
So almost over I will miss writing Ahad and Yumna's story one more epilogue to go.
