They finally arrived at the movies and walked side by side to enter theater number 3.
The lights dimmed in the theatre and instead of reaching for the popcorn, Peter slowly crept his hands towards Betty's. Betty felt Peter's fingers graze against her's, realizing what he was trying to do. Peter hoped Betty wouldn't see how red he was right now from blushing. Peter spread apart his fingers to make room for Betty to lock in hers with his. The two intertwined their hands throughout the whole movie. Peter nor Betty never let go, not even when they had to get a piece of popcorn or sip on their drink. Peter's heart became full as Betty, probably unconsciously, squeezed his hand tighter. Peter also tightened his grip and Betty began to slowly graze her thumb over his. By the time the movie was over, Peter's hand was sweaty and numb from holding onto Betty's so tightly. But it was worth it.
