You walked through the double doors into your friend Tony’s apartment.  You had been invited to one of his parties and happily agreed to go. You felt a little uncomfortable because you couldn’t find anyone you knew, but you soon found Tony and decided to say hello.

“Hey!” he exclaimed, pulling you in for a hug. “I was just talking about you with the guys.” you waved shyly at Tony’s friends.

“I just thought I would say hi.  I’m gonna go get something to drink,” you told him.  He waved as you walked away. You got to the bar and ordered a drink.

“Um, ma’am,” the bartender said. “Someone already ordered you a drink.”

You tilted your head, confused. “What do you mean?” you asked.

“The man at the back of the room ordered you something when you walked in,” he pointed to a man, who sat alone at the back of the room.  He waved subtly. You waved back. You were confused, but interested. He was very handsome.
“Would you like the drink?” the bartender asked.  You nodded and he quickly made the drink. When you got it, you turned to see that the mysterious man was still staring at you.  You slowly walked towards him. He seemed to pretend to take no notice of the fact that you were approaching him, as he didn't look once you started moving.  You finally made it to the back of the room and sat down on the couch next to his chair.

You sat for a moment before asking, "how did you know I like whiskey?” He finally looked at you again.

He smirked before answering, “you seemed like a whiskey girl when I first saw you.”

“Normally not a guys first guess when they order me a drink either.  Those “girly drinks" are far to strong for me but they seem to want to pour ‘em down my throat.” He laughed at this, throwing his head back.

“Oh, my,” he said, out of breath.

“Then I feel bad if I don't drink it, cause they were nice enough to get me a drink.  So, thank you, for not making this awkward for me,” you finished, holding you glass out and clinking your cups together.

“You're quite the girl.  Tony's told me all sorts of things but nothing like this,” he continued to laugh lightly.

“What do you mean?” you asked.

“He's never told me how funny you are,” he smiled at you and you smile back. “I'm James Barnes,  by the way, but you can call me Bucky, (y/n).”

“Alright then, Bucky.  Guess I don't have to introduce myself to you.  Tony's already done that for me.” You shake your head in exasperation that he already knew about you but you didn't know anything about him.  Thanks Tony.

“Well,” you said finally after a moment. “I guess we're gonna have to talk a bit because I know nothing about you.”

“Then it's a good thing I bought you a drink.”

You two spent the rest of the night chatting.
