"Hey baby," Bucky said, wrapping his arms around your waist. "Do you want to come meet the team?" you hesitantly agreed. He acted a little different when you two were out with others, but you decided to give it a try.

"Awesome," he said, kissing your cheek. "They've been dying to meet you. They're gonna love you," he smiled and left to go get changed. You got changed as well, after you had finished eating breakfast.

Bucky drove up to Avengers HQ and held your hand as you walked up to the door. Everyone was waiting for you both to show up. As soon as Bucky saw them, he left you in the dust. You were shy and didn't really like talking to people. You kind of held back, standing by the door awkwardly. Black Widow came up to you and started chatting.

"Hey," she said. "I'm Natasha. Call me Nat," she smiled and led you around, introducing you to people. You were thankful that someone helped you out. After you had met everyone, you went to find Bucky again.

"Hi, baby," you said when you found him, giving him a hug then held his hand.

"Hey," he breathed, sounding annoyed.

"Are you okay?" you asked.

He glared at you the rolled his eyes and said, "yeah. Hey, can you get me something to eat?" you were confused by his odd behavior. It normally didn't get this bad.

"Yeah," you said quietly, shuffling away. When he thought you were out of earshot, he said something to the effect of "clingy bitch." You were shocked by this, having heard every word, but didn't say anything. You brought him back a drink and some chips.

"Are you serious?" he asked.

"What?

"I hate Doritos!" he sounded really angry.

"I thought they were your favourite," you mumbled, looking down. They most definitely were his favourite.

"Well, you thought wrong!" he was raising his voice now, and you were getting upset. "Get me something different, will ya?"

You stood up. The others around him were standing up defensively, incase they needed to step in and help you. You began to walk over to the kitchen, but stopped, changing your mind.

"No," you said. He looked up, confused, then gave you the 'you want to say that again?' kind of face. "I actually want to go home now," you said.

"Well, pfft, drive yourself!" he yelled. Nat had began walking forward, looking like she was about to slap him silly.

"No," you said again, and signaled for Nat to back down. She stopped moving but still looked furious. "No, Bucky. We're going home now," you finished, and began walking to the door. Nat followed you, handing you a piece of paper.

She gave you a hug and said, "call me if you need help, okay?" you looked down at the paper. It had a phone number scribbled on it. "If things get hairy, give me a call and I'll rush over, take him out, alright?" you smiled and nodded.

"Thanks Nat," you whispered.

"Don't let him hurt you."

"Okay," you turned to see Bucky saying goodbye to the team. He then met you at the door, and without saying anything, not even taking your hand, he walked out the door and to the car. You followed him in silence and got in. He drove, not looking at you, not saying a thing. You didn't mind, though. You didn't want to talk to him. You thought about what he had said. Had he really meant it? You began to cry quietly, looking out the window, at the sunny day outside. Tears ran down your cheeks and you wiped them away, not wanting Bucky to notice. You took a deep, shaky breath in and out.

"Are you alright, sweetheart?" Bucky asked, sounding genuinely concerned as he pulled up in front of the house.

"Like you care," you said quietly, getting out of the car and walking up to the front door.

"I do care!" he called after you, following you in. You hurriedly took off your shoes so you could go upstairs and not have to talk to him, but he was faster.

"Baby, I do care," he repeated just as you finished taking off your shoes.

You began to walk up the stairs and answered, "Then you wouldn't have said those things." You climbed the stairs fast and walked down the hall to yours and Bucky's room.

You faintly heard him call after you, "What are you-" but he stopped. You closed the door just as he yelled, "Baby, wait! I-"

You leaned up against the door, and slid down until you were sitting of the floor. You started crying again.

Bucky had followed you up and was knocking on the door softly. You ignored that and him asking to talk to you. After a few minutes, you thought he had left, but you heard him say, "Can you just knock so I know you're still there?" he sounded like he had been crying. You reached up slowly and knocked. "Baby, I'm not going anywhere, alright? I'll be right here when you when to talk- if you ever what to talk to me again, that is- and I would completely understand if you don't ever want to. God, I'm so sorry. I never should have said those things. I shouldn't have yelled. I shouldn't have ditched you and left you alone. I feel horrible. And I would never forgive myself if you left. It would be all my fault and-" he stopped. His voice had been getting louder and louder and faster and faster with every word, as he got more and more upset with himself. "I'm just so sorry," he finally said. You could barely hear him through the door. "Please open the door. I just want to hold you. I want to see your face and say I'm sorry. Please," he croaked the last word. You slowly stood up, and, equally as slowly, opened the door. There he was, sitting on the floor, looking up at you, his eyes red and swollen and his cheeks wet with tears. He quickly stood up and threw his arms around you, pulling you tight against his body, like he would never let go.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered into your neck. He had one arm around your body and one hand holding your head against his chest, his fingers gently tangled in your hair. "I swear on my life that I'll never do that again, okay? If I do, I don't Nat will be able to stop herself from knocking me out," he finished making you smile a little.

Hey, how are y'all doing?

I might just do it anyway but I want to know if you would be interested in reading what happens after this. I don't have a lot of things to work on right now so I might do it anyway, but would you read it?
