"Ko Eun!"

"Ko Eun!"

The girl flinched from her seat. She has been in the quiet library for the past thirty minutes and the sudden loudness of the voice shocked her. She darted her eyes towards the entrance just to see a certain someone being scolded by the librarian for raising his voice. A soft chuckle came out of her mouth when she saw him apologizing countless times and was about to kneel down for an apology if it weren't for the librarian smacking some sense into him before letting him off.

"Ko Eun," Hurriedly making his way towards her, he took the vacant seat across and took time to catch his breath. "Jesus, I was looking everywhere for you."

But he didn't come back for her when she waited? Shaking her thoughts away, Ko Eun closed the book that she was reading to entertain him. "Hey there, Mark."

"I'm sorry. I'm really, really, sorry." Mark didn't know where to begin, but he knew to apologize first. "That was such a dick move to forget."

Ko Eun would be lying to say that she doesn't agree with that. "It's okay."

"It's not!" With that loud reaction, Mark earned a hush coming from the librarian. He then sunk in his seat and toned his voice down. "How long did you wait?"

Ko Eun didn't want to remember, but she wanted to reflect on how supid she becomes the moment she admires someone. "I waited for the rain to stop."

Well, shit. That was also when Mark left the campus. They took the back gate because it was the closest to the route towards Donghyuck's subdivision. Meeting her totally went out of his head as he was preoccupied with another situation.

"Mark, it's okay." Ko Eun reassured him. "I understand that there are things far more important."

Mark wasn't the type to break promises. He's a man of his words. The situation he had last night might not be society's standard of importance, but he wanted to be with Donghyuck and that's what he prioritized more. He didn't want to admit it to her, but even if he does remember about them having dinner together and he also has to choose that or Donghyuck, he will, with no doubt, pick to be with Donghyuck.

"So that's why Lucas looked miserable when he left the campus last night." Ko Eun began to gossip.

The mention of a name made Mark snap out from his trance. "Huh? You saw him?"

She nodded her head, "He and Donghyuck broke up."

That's also probably why Mark wasn't able to meet with her. Ko Eun knew where he went.

Meanwhile, Mark was surprised that the news spread around like fire. He could have sworn that the only people who know about it are Donghyuck's friends and he told Jeno about it while explaining why he came home late— Jeno. Mark should know better than to tell that asshole about it. Jeno can never shut his mouth.
