The Corner
I sit in the corner and watch the world,
Confused by what I see,
While trying my best to figure out
What part of this world is me.I hide my eyes, too scared to look.
This corner, I never leave.
Safe and sound as the world goes by,
Not knowing what to believe. From here I can't see a future.
I keep living my life in the past.
I try to move on, but my fears hold tight.
Haunted by the shadows they cast.Crippled, I sit, day after day.
The whispers will keep me in place.
Not strong enough to stand on my own,
Too scared of what I will face.I sit in the corner and watch the world,
Confused by what I see,
While trying my best to figure out
What part of this world is me.— — —
