"Check this out (Y/N)!" said Sonic, running with his usual (well, I wouldn't call it 'usual' for a human)
"Wait up!" I run as fast and as I could trying to catch up on him
But I kept my smile on my face looking at him. He stopped and stayed on his spot. His hands behind, obviously hiding something
"Huh?"I said curiously trying to take a peak of whatever he is hiding
Sonic gave me his proud smile before he gave me a beautiful flower
"Here!" he said extending his right arm at me with the flower on his hand
I gladly took it
"I accidentally saw this yesterday when I was running with Tails. I thought you might like it, and, "Sonic slightly blushed
"This beautiful flower reminded me of you. On how sweetly colorful it is, it really resembles you" Sonic smiled
"Thank you Sonic. Ahh, this is so beautiful! I couldn't thank you enough. I should give something to you in return" I said looking fondly at the beautiful flower in my hand
"N-no! That's alright"He refused, nervously shaking both of his hands
"Since we're here, wanna have a run? You will like what you'll see"He grinned
"Sure"I accepted with excitement
Slightly not caring if I'm unable to catch up with his speed. I have just the funny feeling this will be fun, besides, I think he's going to show me somewhere. I also have a feeling it will be really worth it!
So why not right? I just can't leave him hanging. He even gave me this flower. The best thing I could ever have
Without a warning, Sonic took a hold of my hand and started to run
He's running to fast! I can't keep up with him! I felt like I'm going to fly if I keep going.
I careful and tightly hold the flower in my hands with dear life
I can't run properly. I might trip, we both might get hurt
"W-wait! I ca-can't keep up with you!" I said between my pants and also, nervousness
"Don't worry! I've got an idea"He cheerfully said, still running but I could see his grin
He expertly picked me up into a bridal style. I blushed. I suddenly found the flower very interesting
But I can feel his eyes on me, I can feel him smiling. I can also feel his heart beat. We're so close together
He suddenly stopped. He carefully put me into the ground as he proudly stood up before me
I looked at the place he was looking. I felt my own jaw drop
"I-I've never see this before" my eyes lighting up at the sight, looking at everything
Completely awestruck. It was incredibly beautiful here. Almost unbelievable. Pretty flowers in various kinds of colors with butterflies even flying above them, these green, green grass, and there's a lake here!
The water is completely blue I can clearly see my and Sonic's reflection eve and though the sun's light is reflecting into the water. I can see myself slowly smiling
Seeing all of this, I am on cloud nine! It's like I'm in the paradise I have always been wanting to be part of
"I was planning on surprising you with this one, deciding on the perfect timing. Hope ya like it!"He smiled
I pulled him into a hug. My eyes closed I almost broke down into tears. No one, no one have ever done this to me. Not a single person, even my parents.
He slowly wrapped his arms around me. In a strange way I felt secured for the first time. I felt safe with him
"Of course Sonic! Thank you! That's n you so much! "I said trying my best to hide my sobs
Why does every happy moment triggers a sad memory?
Guess there's still that small cruelty following you wherever you went. But, that cruelty also makes people be stronger and to be wise. Because from the past, we always learn something
He chuckled
We pulled away from the hug
I just can't stop looking at the flowers. Mostly of my favorite colors are in here. I sat. Sonic sat beside me
"So, in a place like this, Eggman lives here?"I asked
He burst into laughter. I blushed in embarrassment
"I-i didn't mean it that way. I mean at least he didn't happen to do a destruction here?"
"Nope. We take care of this. We protect this place,"He took a hold of my hand
"Besides, there's always a balance between good and evil. Even this place, a smallest evilness is hidden into it" He said looking at the sky
"But, now you're here, another person who loves this place, truly I appreciated it,love its flowers, trees, everything about it. I'll protect this even more, even if there are the smallest cruelty. For you. Even though things aren't that simple. As long as someone like you is here, it gives me more courage to do so!"He cheerfully said looking at me
I smiled back at him
I felt loved, cared. I couldn't take it anymore, I burst into tears
"(Y-Y/N)? What's wrong?"He panicked
"N-no.I'm just... I'm just happy"I sniffed
He pulled me into another hug.He stroke my hair.I was a sobbing mess
I slowly pulled away,he wiped my tears
"It's getting dark.Everyone night get worried at us.We better get home"I worriedly said
"Alright then"He replied
He picked me into a bridal style again before he ran and we got home
