Shadow's POV
I groaned. I felt a throbbing pain on my head. It feels like my skull is being crushed! Argh!
I languidly stood up. This place is-
"Well, well, well. You're finally awake, hedgehog" A deep, menacing voice spoke. It almost turned out to be a growl
"Mephiles!" I tried my teeth
"It's such a ridiculous act to trust your old enemies. Nonetheless, you morons did" He darkly chuckled
"Where are they?!"
"Oh, who? Is it Sonic and Silver? Don't worry, I made sure they're safe. But for now, I've been waiting for this moment to once come again!" He roared
Revenge. That's what he wants. In the first place, neither I nor Knuckles had trusted him. I sense something wrong.
I didn't realize he turned on his crystalline form
I turned into my fighting stance. His shadows on his back. He was holding two chaos emeralds in his hands. Damn! If only have one
"Shadow!" A voice yelled
I looked back to see to a certain blue blur.
"Sonic!" I called
He had a chaos emerald in his hand. I also saw Silver with (Y/N) with a chaos emerald. Those emeralds can help!
"You fools!" Mephiles growled
But his frown quickly turned into a smirk. What's he planning now? In a blink of an eye, he then just vanished
Shit! I know what's going to happen!
"(Y/N)!" I pulled her away when Mephiles almost got her
Mephiles chuckled
"You're such a clever hedgehog, Shadow. I'm impressed you possess that such awareness"
Then he quickly sink into the darkness.
"We have to get all of the chaos emeralds" said Silver
"Of course we have to! But of couse, that bastard Mephiles won't go down without a fight!" Sonic growled
"We should scatter. But per group, they should have one emerald" I suggested
Sonic nodded in agreement
"I'm with (Y/N)" I said
"Alright. You and (Y/N), me and Silver" Sonic said while exchanging our chaos emeralds
