"Brrring brrring!" My alarm announced its usual noise at me this morning, but for some reason, today felt different. I don't know why, but I didn't mind waking up and going to school today. I smiled as I smashed the snooze button. Just because I had a good feeling about today doesn't mean that I don't want to sleep more.
"Brrring brrring!" I sent an annoying glare at my iPod, but decided to get up and get ready. I yawned and stretched, rubbing all the sleep from my eyes at the same time. Nasty.
I snatched the sheets and threw them to the end of the bed. I walked over to the shower and turned it on, then selected my clothes while waiting for the water to warm up, black skinny jeans, my gengar tee, and black converse. I hoped in the shower and performed Melanie Martinez's cover of Brittany Spears' song Toxic. After completely crushing the imaginary competition, I got out and dried off.
After I was dressed with wonderfully straight hair, I checked my homework assignment from maths, only to find it half done. Shit, Mr. Andrew is gonna kill me if it isn't complete! I scribble down some random numbers that only vaguely make sense and above it back into my bag.
After seeing that my morning was complete, I grabbed my bag and shoved my headphones on, singing We The Kings all the way to the house where Jess picked me up every day. After waiting (more like dancing but shhh) for about fifteen minutes, I heard the coming of gravel from under car tires. I liked up expecting to see the all to familiar tardis-coloured beauty on for wheels, but was taken aback by a '67 Chevy impala materializing in front of me.
"Hop in!" A familiar voice spoke out, and I recognize it immediately. How could I not remember the voice of the man I fell in love with all those years ago?

I was driving to school the way I usually go when I noticed a road I need to take was blocked off from construction. I got out my phone and was quickly on my way again. The only problem? I had no clue where I was going.
I typed in my schools address into the mapquest app so that my phone was telling me where to go. Soon after continuing on my way again, I passed by a house where someone was having some pretty great rave time, his pitch black hair swinging around while dancing happily to the best that must have been blaring from his headphones. It was Phil, to bad I had stupid Becky...
Oh, wait! I don't! I was so happy I turned around and pulled up to a now slightly sweaty Phil. He was still as beautiful as ever.
"Hop in!" I said, and then mentally facepalmed. God, he probably thinks I'm a creepy stalker or something. Damn it Dan!
He looks up, surprised to see me I guess. His shimmering blue eyes hold mine for just a second to long, not that I'm complaining, though. He pulls his headphones of his head and immediately blushes.
"I was just waiting on my friend to come get me," he says awkwardly. "But I can tell her that I don't need a ride anymore." He adds quickly, but the only words I catch are 'friend' and 'her'. Of course he's straight, you idiot.
"No, it's ok." I say, my face falling. He must have noticed.
"No, she's always late. Some friend, am I right? At least with you I'll be on time for once." He says while opening the passenger door. "What I'm saying is, I would love a ride to school." He smiled at me while snapping his seat belt into place. "More like I love you..." He mumbled under his breath, which is something I don't think I was supposed to hear, but immediately blushed afterwards and didn't say anything about it.
"Ok, then we're off!" I say, still smiling after the previous comment. "Now bear with me now, I've never been this way before. We are trusting my phone to take us to school in time."
"Or I could just tell you how to get there." Phil says, smiling.
"Or that" I say, turning the radio into my favourite station, in the middle of playing a Muse song.
"I love this song, turn it up!" Phil says suddenly, making me smile even wider.
After having out to the rest of the song, we can see the school in the distance. After five more minutes of driving, we enter the parking lot and stop the car. Phil is just about to get out when I quickly take his hand in mine, loving the way it fits in with mine.
"Some of my friends are coming over to my place after school today, would you want to go too?" I say, hoping he doesn't mind my hand on his.
He looks at my hand in his and smiles holding it tighter. He leans in to my face seductively, and i close my eyes, trying (and failing) to not notice my "north rising"
"I would love to" he whispers into my ear. "But first, I'm going to need you're number."
"Y-yeah, ok" I stutter. Damn that boy. I give him my phone so he can put his number in. After he saves it, he grabs his stuff and exits the car.
"See you tonight, love." He tells me coolly. "And don't forget to text me tonight"
Suddenly, I just want school to be over. I check my contacts, and see he named himself as 'Phil the lion <3'
I send him a text only to see he left his phone in my car. I put in my number before moving it again and getting out to return it to him.
I look out over the sea of heads until I see the raven-haired boy talking to some girl. I run over to him and hand him his phone.
"You left this in my car." I pant, trying to catch my breath.
"10 it of 10. I don't know how you did it lion, but he is a keeper." The girl standing next to Phil says as he blushes furiously. I stand up and walk away, watching Phil as he checks his texts. If course he'll see mine first.
'I can't wait until tonight ;) xxxDan'
