"So, the princess returns to the kingdom," Jake chuckled as he and Jinxx stood at the door of the house, me and Ashley walking up the driveway to the porch.
I laughed. "For a short while, that is," I said.
"None the less, we're glad to see you back," Jinxx said as I hugged them both.
A few weeks later, I decided to head to California for the college orientations, as well as spend some lost time with my dad and the band. They'll also be on Warped Tour, as well as Palaye Royale, and I get to come along before college starts in the fall.
I'll also be seeing apartments for me and Rem close to my college and our homes. Right now he's with Emerson and Sebastian seeing their mom and resting since they start recording soon.
I'm nervous about leaving my mom, but we agreed that if and when my grandmother.... passes.... then she'll consider leaving New Jersey and live in California, either with me or Ashley, since he offered to let her stay.
Andy suggested he can stay with her, but considering my mom and him don't exactly see eye to eye, we figured anyone else except him would be a better option.
"Well, I'm gonna be looking around for an apartment anyway," I said. "Something cozy for me and Rem, and close to each other's homes."
"Pretty soon in the relationship," Jake said. "You sure about that?"
"Well, we talked it over a couple of times, and he agrees that we wouldn't be able to handle the long distance, so we've been looking around in either LA or Vegas," I said. "Something simple for just the two of us, maybe even a pet or two. Plus, I... I'm confident about him... I really am..."
He smiled. "I felt the same about Inna. We kind of sped some stuff up, our marriage included, but I was just sure in my heart she was the one... and I still am."
I smiled as we walked into the house
"I trust John is also showing StepMommy dearest the contract," I said.
"Should be done showing her by now," Jake said as we stopped
"Huh, wonder how she'll take my conditions," I said.
"AAAARRRRGGGHH!!!" A screech suddenly echoed throughout the house as suddenly a large potted plant from upstairs fell and crashed in the middle of the room, not far from me, Jinxx and Jake.
"I'm guessing she's not happy," Jinxx said.
That's when Juliet appeared at the top of the stairs, wearing her bathrobe and her hair a mess.
I swear I even saw flames in her eyes.
"Only 10 percent?! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" She screeched, the contract in her fist.
"Relax, Gothel, we still showed you mercy, and I'm letting you take 15% for emergencies only, which better not include a new Louis Vuitton bag. And it can stay that way so long as you earn your OWN keep as you should and no depend on my dad for money 24/7," I said as she stormed down the stairs running, the cats darting for cover in the living room.
The scene from Spirited Away where the witch finds out her baby is missing is playing in my head. She even almost looks like Yubaba. HAHA!!
