Do you want to know who you are?
When they tell you with vanity,
that you deserve to live in agony,
that you will fail miserably.
Remind them of who you are.
Remind them of what you are.
You are a miracle within a tragedy.
You are a sanity within an insanity.
A living contradictions joined by gravity.
Remind them of how
as we take our steps
towards the future,
life moves backwards,
and death moves forwards.
Tell them,
how nothing is
more miserable
than your own life
taking away your life.
-remind them that
as long as you survived
the afflictions of the world,
you can outgrow their words.
