When I get home, I look around in my wardrobe desperately for something to wear.

Nothing.

Absolutely fucking nothing.

I curse Jenny and Hope in annoyance. This is all their fault! If they had just kept the original date, I would have been able to buy something.

I look across the hall, into my mother's room.

My mother who is currently out, and is more or less the same size as me.

I walk to her room quietly, and open the wardrobe.

There are tons of dresses. Most of them aren't very nice, but, amongst all the horrible ones, I find an amazing silver, sparkling one. It has a loose back and I honestly fell in love with it.

I ran back to my room and tried it on. It was slightly big, so it showed a little more cleavage but, who cares?

I tried to put some makeup on, but failed.

So I tried again...

But failed again.

So I decided to just go bare faced.

Chris pulled up outside my flat, honking his horn impatiently.

Taylor eyed me warily, as I said goodbye and left.

As I walked up to Chris' car I realised two things.

1) Chris' car was fucking amazing. I don't know a lot about cars, but I know that that one must've been expensive.

2) Chris was shamelessly checking me out, and this time, I didn't mind.

I got in the car, pretending not to notice his agape expression.

"You look amazing," he finally says.

Before I can answer, he leans over and kisses me lightly on the nose.

"Cutie," I say.

He pouts, "I'm not cute. I'm Chris Harks. I'm the bad boy and major player,"

I wince slightly at the last part, but feign a smile, "Whatever you say, Chrissy," I change the subject, "Now, I'd like to be at this party some time today,"

Before I know it, were speeding off into the distance.

"Careful Chris," I say, "The road's icy".

"We'll be fine, Indie," he gives me a wide eyed smile.

I smile back, taking the opportunity to stare at him, taking in his beauty.

"You're staring," He says, laughingly.

"I'm not staring," I say, "I'm admiring,"

He pauses.

"I am pretty admirable,".

I press myself against the side of the car.

"What are you doing?" He frowns.

"Just it's a bit squashed in here, with your massive ego,"

He gives me a fake glare and I poke his cheek playfully.

We finally get to the party.

I stand outside the house anxiously. I'm starting to get nervous.

I feel a hand in mine and look up to see Chris staring down at me, "You ok?"

I instantly smile, "Never better,"

We walk inside together.

The first thing that hits me is the noise.

It's loud.

So many people are talking and yelling, yet you can still hear the faint sound of music in the background. I smile.

"Omg! Indie," I hear a familiar voice slur.

I turn around to see Hope hiccuping drunkenly, grabbing my hand.

"You... have to see this," she laughs and begins to drag me into another room.

I look over my shoulder at Chris.

"I'll get drinks!" He yells. I nod and follow Hope reluctantly.

She leads me into a room, with a crowd gathered around something.

Or should I say somebody.

Adam is standing on the pool table, shirtless.

It's obvious to see that :

A) Adam is clearly drunk

B) Adam has surprisingly nice abs

He grins when he sees me, "INDIGO,"

Everyone turns to look at me and I go red.

"Omigod guys! This is Indie and she's my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Scratch that. She's my bestest friend in the whole solar system," Adam says drunkenly.

I smile slightly. Adam's so sweet when he's drunk.

... And when he's sober.

Adam's just a sweetie.

"Someone get my bestie in the solar system a drink for her to drink, mkay?"

Before I know it, a random stranger is giving me a cup.

Stupidly, I drink it.

And so the drinks begin...

Adam is honestly having the time of his life. He's diving into the pool, dancing, and holding girls close to him. (I'm not one hundred percent happy about that part).

He really is the life of the party.

I'm unexpectedly having fun too. I'm dancing and talking to random people.

But mostly I'm just laughing at Adam make an idiot of himself.

I'm about to take a dip in the pool when I realise.

Chris!

I suddenly felt awful.

I'm the worst girlfriend. I've literally just left him.

Shit.

I get up and begin to search the house.

Adam sees me leave, "Ayyy, why's my bestie bestie leaving?"

I ignore him and begin to search the rooms.

There is honestly not a Chris in sight. I feel even worse.

What if he gave up and went home?

God I'm such a horrible person. How could I forget about him while I was having such a good time?

I decide to search upstairs. Maybe Chris went there to get some peace and quiet.

He isn't a fan of constant noise.

As soon at I walk upstairs, I hear moaning. Of course. This is where the bedrooms are. This is where the couples go.

I direct myself towards a bedroom with no sound coming from it.

I take a deep breath knowing the risks.

Chris could be behind this door.

But there could also be a couple having sex and I don't feel like walking in on that.

I finally muster up the courage.

I open the door quickly.

The good news: I found Chris.

The bad news: He isn't alone... or fully clothed.
