He Takes You Out For Your Birthday
Sam walked up to you when he saw you sitting on a bench in front of Breadstix, which is where he told you to meet him, and it was a crisp day in the middle of October.
"Hey, y/n. Happy birthday."
He handed you your gift and a baby blue balloon with the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY written on it.
"Aw, thank you Sam."
You put your hand on his cheek and smile. You were about to open your present, but he grabbed you by the arm.
"Wait! Don't open it yet. Wouldn't you rather eat first?"
"Yeah, I suppose." you shrug.
You both get seated and order drinks, and you just stare at the present that's sitting by your side.
"You really want to open that thing, don't you?" Sam asked.
"Yes, I do."
You nodded and looked up at him.
"Okay, go ahead."
You picked it up and slowly unwrapped the gift, and there was a small, gold teddy bear charm inside.
"You bought me a new charm for my bracelet?"
You looked up at him.
"Yeah. I know it's not much, but-"
"No, I love it. Thank you, Sam."
You leaned over the table and give him a kiss, and he helped you put the charm on your bracelet afterwards, then you both ate and talked and had a nice dinner.
